$RUN all the doom and gloom… everyone is reacting like solar installers won’t just slash sales reps’ commissions and become more cost efficient to make up the loss of the ITC. If ITC was eliminated completely and immediately, many jobs would be lost in the short term as the industry adjusts. Red state politicians really don’t want that… I think the revisions to the bill will end up looking something like they did last time (do we all have amnesia or something..?) There could be a scheduled step down and phase out over the course of several years. And I think that’s the worst case scenario. $ENPH $SEDG $MAXN $SPRQF

Sparq Systems, please remove the Reliance blinders and crank out a business plan for US contract manufacturing. The financial support is knocking on the door and offering to deliver all the capital needed to advance the business. Where is the plan?

I’m at a conference this week, and the amount of industry leaders that are ready to mobilize to support the long term growth of the industry is astounding. The solar industry supports a quarter million jobs in the US. They’ll tell two friends to contact their representatives, and they tell two friends… then we have millions of constituents pushing for solar. You get the picture. The US Solar industry isn’t going anywhere. It’s just getting started. Dream prices for all of these stocks. Buy and hold.

$ENPH I met Raghu Belur, Chief Product Officer, at a conference yesterday. Shook his hand and told him I believe in the product. This is a hundred year company. During a panel discussion, he shared his vision of (and the current reality of) energy management, with the average homeowner being an active participant, provider, and beneficiary of the energy market via solar and storage.
