$WEN This restaurant is trash and its run by morons

User Image inspector_gadget86 Posted - 12 hours ago

$WEN continues to grapple with strong headwinds, including inflationary pressures on beef and fries, higher commodity costs and rising labor expenses. Also, increased investments in breakfast menu advertising are putting pressure on its margins. New lows are welcome

@xtremdelt8 He won't destroy it. I won't even drink Pepsi. Coke taste better. It's the oatmeal, cereal and snack portfolio that makes PEP worth owning. He may not even get confirmed. If he does going after GMO salmon should be the priority, than trying to make junk food more healthy. People buying Doritos are gonna eat bad food. Being the health police won't change that. But I do like the avatar. Dark Side of the Moon is a great and classic album. Long $CMG $HSY $PEP $WEN

$MCD this has a wild 70% 5y return price difference from $WEN Clearly the trading strategy in the last 4 years is to pick the best company in any given sector and short all the rest. apparently there can only be one. I've had to learn this the hard way. In every sector only pick the best performing and nothing else.

$WEN brand cachet includes a perception of higher quality and a (relative) health halo, which should better cater to US restaurantgoers increasingly concerned with nutrition profiles than certain QSR burger peers. Wendy's breakfast business represents a high-single-digit percentage of store-level sales today and should have plenty of headspace-even if it can't achieve management's lofty $6,000 in sales per store per week targets. Wendy's development incentive programs (Groundbreaker, Pacesetter, Built to Suit) could drive a reasonable improvement in unit growth for the burger chain.

$WEN While the American market may be starting to sour, it is instead looking in a whole new direction: down under. A report from Australia's 9News detailed plans for Wendy's to make an expansion in Australia, which is already being called " ...a major expansion." The report noted that the plan is to open 200 new locations in Australia by 2034. This is based on a deal originally signed in 2023. Following a pop-up event in Sydney that went better than expected, that lit a little extra fire under Wendy's to get the rollout moving in earnest. While official dates were not noted, we do know it will be sometime this month. A social media post declared: "See you

$WEN somebody is taking a huge position and wants it all sub $16.50; Wendy’s is a staple of the US toxic fast food ecosystem and will forever be. It’s my third largest holding by value and I’ll keep it that way collecting the 6% and the bounce off this floor
