$AFRM puts on the pops worked today, Somewhat surprised that this didn't squeeze with IWM. Another decent size closing print today. Today, I was reviewing the price action from the past few weeks. I'm leaning toward accumulation. The current price action doesn't have the same "feel" as past down trends. That's not to say It doesn't hit mid-30s. Modifying my plan and setting a mental S/L on commons to the daily 200SMA. Holding a put hedge position against them that was paid for by today's price action.

$AFRM Why is this diverging from UPST? Why is UPST going up?

$AFRM Affirm uses its own “proprietary” credit system. If they start to report their (subprime) borrowers to the credit bureau, it will unmask their fraudulent credit scoring system, which also means they will have an obligation to repurchase all the loans at par. Also, they have a significant liability coming due very soon!!

$AFRM Once the transactions from BNPL start to show on people's credit reports, all AFRM customers will see a 20-point drop in their (already low) credit scores. — AFRM doesn’t have to worry about that because they don’t offer any rewards anyway. AFRM will likely have to repurchase those loans with a massive haircut.

User Image StocktwitsWolf Posted - 19 hours ago

$AFRM I really want to start shorting this garbage snake of a company but I know in the current economy people are probably using BNPL for everything from their new shoes to groceries, soon though this will have it's day.

$AFRM Visa and MasterCard are lowering their swipe fees, which is another blow to Affirm already weak business model. — plus, AFRM is staring at 👀🔫 their debt is due soon, and if they can roll the debt, the interest rate will put them in an even worse since the company can’t service their interest payments. The bottom line is that Affirm is much like its customers (borrowed money and can't pay back).

User Image DVM2Trader Posted - 1 day ago

$AFRM still consolidating; buy the dip as long as 36 holds, ok to take puts on any pops Intraday until we see a daily close above the 50SMA currently at 39.35 (~5.5% from today's close). FWIW looking at the monthly candle I don't think we get a weekly close above 40. I'd be perfectly happy to be wrong though. I do wonder this doesn't start moving up until after April MOPEX. Only holding a small position In commons.
