$AVGO did such a masterful job integrating $VMW. It is a cliché to see large M&A drama, issues & fumbling. They were perfect here. Impressive to me.

$avgo Hock's friends at Silver Lake raised $20.5B for AI technology investments in May. Ken Hao recruited Hock to AVGO in 2005. Hao helped craft the failed hostile takeover of $QCOM in 2017 in which Silver Lake was going to put up $6 billion. Silver Lake hit home run on $DELL go private in 2013 and realized a ton of value on EMC $VMW sale to AVGO.
Let's do it again re $NTAP. I'm sure Silver Lake and AVGO have plenty of capital to make moves.

$AVGO $INTC $SMH $SPY $VMW If AVGO acquired Intel they would lose loads of money. They don’t have IP to become a foundry business and even if they did their loaded with debt they can’t even look at another acquisition for the next few years.

$SPY Broadcom bought $VMW and now giving nightmares for HPE DELL IBM etc as $AVGO has the pricing power to raise and reshape licenses. Broadcom is now $650 billion in market cap big enough to acquire $INTC before Intel completes their Foundry business. That will put $AVGO above TRILLION market cap in a few years. $smh

@indievestments look at $JNPR deal with $hpe took 9 months from start to finish.
Look at dell transaction with $VMW took 30 days.
Talks come and go but substance comes when it makes sense to both parties.
George could find a new job and the board could panic and decide to sell tomorrow if they fear instability if they fail to find the right leader. Anything could happen.
But as you say it only makes sense now, when these startups and fluff companies are getting insane valuations yet the real performers arent getting any love. A legit board would do what's best for shareholders instead of sending us pennies in the nearterm but potentially failing to return back all our capital in the long run.

Is it possible that $GOOG is going after Wiz and $NTAP at the same time to make big push at Google Cloud as #3 player?? 23b for Wiz + 40b for NTAP ? Appears like good fit re cloud security + cloud file storage and both hooked into $AMZN $MSFT and $VMW.

@Blue_Ocean Prob not, look what happened when they tried to buy $QCOM .
Even the $VMW acquisition was over-scrutinized.
It would be a nice partnership though…

🚀 $AVGO announces a 10-for-1 stock split, stirring excitement in the market! As Nvidia ($NVDA) saw gains post-split, investors eye similar prospects for Broadcom. 🔧 Focused on tech and cybersecurity, Broadcom's diversification strategy includes a significant stake in VMware ($VMW), competing directly with $CRWD. Recent Q2 results beat EPS and revenue expectations, with revenue hitting $12.49B, boosting forecasts for a robust 2024. 📈 With a YoY revenue uptick forecasted at 42% for 2024, thanks to VMware, Broadcom stands strong. Its SaaS growth, particularly in AI-driven networking and data center demand, positions it for sustained growth. 💰 Pre-split, $AVGO trades at $1,798. Post-split, it’s set to align with $TSM's price range. Current analyst targets project a rise to $1886.43 per share, promising potential gains in a booming cybersecurity and AI market. Keep an eye on this one! 📊 #StockMarket #Investing

@Spizzle 99% of mobile is ARM and so far in over a decade their revenue is 3b !! 😂 Best case revenue from AI chips is assumed to be $6b over the next decade ! So current Valuation is absurd! Demand for the stock is mainly due to SoftBank manipulative ipo strategy . If you know this is what burned $VMW shareholders last decade . Good luck 🍀

@GatorTailzz @AVGOmysugardaddy Remember, this is the first ER since the $VMW acquisition, so it’s hard to predict what will happen. I’m still bullish, but if there was a quarter where the ER could be weak, I think this would be it.
