It's pretty cool how the perfect cup and handle formation on this daily chart of $GSL is outlined perfectly by the 20 day moving average. I sketched it in thicker just below the actual 20DMA for clarity Chart from @marketsurge

$GSL Nice move on this one [and the container shipping sector in general] today. I've been long on GSL for a couple of years now - a stable, money printing sleeper with a sustainable 7%+ dividend. Definitely undervalued, $2.2B in revenue in the next two years, beat earnings for like 8 quarters straight, stable, sensible and respectable leadership. Happy to sit on it and collect my 7% in my IRA until the cows come home.

$GSL Either you like the dividend yield ($1.50 pa) at $20 or you don't. If you expect the price to fall or rise much away from this level you will be waiting a while. A stock that lets you sleep at night, but not one for the getting rich quick fantasies.

@YPuig66 making predictions without any substantial information = spreading fear and misinformation. Plus a Reverse Split means absolutely nothing to the stock market cap, financials, net asset value, etc. Look at $DAC $GSL D'Amico and $SHIP for example, all did reverse splits and are profitable, healthy companies now. Many in this board keep saying they are doing a RS to destroy shareholder value and that the stock will be heavily shorted. This is bashing and spreading fear without any substantial information.

$GSL 48 percent owned by institutions. If I was a large share holder I probably also wouldve sold contracts then sold my shares when it was trading above 21 pre market then pull out and buy cheaper once the emotional traders leave their position. And dont get my wrong I was mad this morning when this dipped below 20, but at the end of the day, I am trying to understand. I know having a large position helps influence the price target. But does the market cap reflect the value of this company? Who would sell the company for 661 million?

$GSL 3 of 3 - Global Ship Lease reports Q4 normalized EPS $2.49, consensus $2.35 ....Further, the steps that we continue to take to enhance our balance sheet, our extensive contract coverage, and our discipline in allocating capital have put us in a strong position as the sector transitions into the increasingly uncertain period ahead. And we remain as tightly focused as ever on maximizing long-term value for our shareholders: alongside returning capital in the form of both dividends and buybacks, we expect to see a growing number of interesting countercyclical investment opportunities in the months and quarters ahead."

$GSL 2 of 3 - Global Ship Lease reports Q4 normalized EPS $2.49, consensus $2.35 ....these two developments have caused a meaningful tightening of containership supply and demand - arresting, and even reversing, the previous downward normalization of charter rates and asset values. It is impossible to predict how long disruptions to the Red Sea and Panama will last, and significant macroeconomic, geopolitical, and regulatory uncertainty remain prominent features of the market outlook. In this environment, our fleet of high-quality, mid-sized and smaller containerships continues to provide liner companies with the flexible tonnage that is key to their service networks through the cycle - especially at times of uncertainty and disruption. We have entered 2024 with strong charter coverage for much of the year and continue to work hard to capitalize on current market firmness to grow contract cover and strengthen forward cash flow visibility....

$GSL 1 of 3 - Global Ship Lease reports Q4 normalized EPS $2.49, consensus $2.35 Reports Q4 revenue $178.9M, consensus $172.02M. George Youroukos, our Executive Chairman, stated: "In a time of rising geopolitical uncertainty, Global Ship Lease has remained committed to its successful business model, combining operational excellence with a disciplined approach to preserving and building shareholder value through the cycle. Trade disruptions in the Red Sea significantly escalated towards the end of the fourth quarter of 2023, resulting in large-scale re-routing of containerships away from the Suez Canal and around the Cape of Good Hope, absorbing substantial effective supply. Meanwhile, water shortages in the Panama Canal have led to a reduction in the number of vessels that can transit that key waterway, adding further bottlenecks to the global supply chain. Taken together....
