$ARLP I've been long this coal miner since it bottomed and then trimmed once it got back up into its trading range (buy low, in size, then trim back down). Anyway, I'm posting about Vietnam expanding thermal coal use because I didn't have them in the increasing coal burning for electricity camp. China, India and Germany expanding ...knew that, plus every developing country in the world only has increased need for energy and coal is cheapest! Climate change only going to get worse. (BTW How great is it to be Norwegian: so much lovely press about their EV use and renewable energy while enjoying an economy 100% based on oil production and investments thereof. OK. Well 95% based.)

$ARLP For those that have gotten their 2023 K1, what percentage of their distribution is tax deferred vs. qualified? I bought into ARLP in Feb and I am looking to buy more but would like to know if their distribution is more akin to MPLX or ET which are essentially all tax deferred or ARLP has more qualified/taxable distributions and if so roughly what percentage.

$ARLP Cathy Wood of Ark says 85% of all cars electric by 2029. Can utilities generate enough electricity to charge all of them and most at the same time? hahaha.....can't do it now or even come close.

@perkinsfible I agree. Bullish case if trump gets elected and utility companies need cheap source of energy for AI data centers. Seems like 2024 will be investment year for $ARLP but should be beneficial for 2025. I’m a shareholder and plan to add more

@g86money I think the dividend is relatively safe for several years. $ARLP generates strong excess cash. I believe the share price is low because of the uncertainty about the long term use of coal. The company is very well managed with a low cost of production relative to competitors. For me, the primary investment question is, will we keep burning similar amounts of coal in $ARLP 's markets?

$ARLP $0.70 quarterly dividend sustainable? They are paying down debt, making growth investments, paying maintenance capex which seems high, all while trying to keep the dividend. CEO says dividend amount is determined quarter by quarter. Seems like a solid company but dividend yield seems too good to be true
