$GOGL I ranted on here about buybacks and why I don’t like them. Now I’ll give you an example: Scorpio has bought back their shares at average of $74. The price now is $58 case closed. Let’s hope GOGL does better. I’m glad I sold most when they first came out with this announcement. The stock was around 14. I did buy some back at 10.90. It’s oversold. Not looking at this like I did before. I’ll flip some. It would’ve been nice to get some of that buyback money in a dividend. But now it’s been wasted. Millions and millions and millions have been wasted. Opportunity lost. Stick to the shipping market boys — playing the paper game is not your forte.

$GOGL Cape rates bottomed around the same time last year in this range before exploding to over 6500 within the next 30 days. This drop won’t impact their future returns if a similar pattern returns this year. Q3 rates were already fully baked before this drop and Q4 should be mostly protected as well.

$SHIP $SBLK $GOGL $DSX reason it’s down today is because of jitters in China on their economy over blown and by the way China doesn’t hold the same weight in the dry bulk world as it used to with countries like India rapid growth and increasing weight in demand for dry bulk shipping so imo a great opportunity to continue to invest at this point 🤑

$GOGL Stock does nothing after more buyback talk. Quit doing buybacks. It's just makes the brass richer by propping up their stock, meeting thresholds, getting options, and by doing less and having a better PE at the shareholders expense. Return the damn money. I'm getting sick of this bullshit — plus you're getting penalized one percent. We buy these fucking stocks to get dividends anyway. Who are those morons?
