A watchlist that refreshes through the morning still needs the latest AAPL headline, and scraping a news site for that story is the step that breaks first.
This guide calls GET /v1/markets/news with ticker=AAPL and reads title, link, pubDate, description, and guid on each headline. Omit both ticker and symbol when you want the broader industry feed instead.

Headlines for one company, or the broader industry feed, live on this path. Send ticker or symbol for a single company such as AAPL. Omit both when you want the industry feed.
Parameters
- ticker: optional company symbol when you want one company's headlines. The sample uses AAPL. Omit this and symbol together for the industry feed.
- symbol: optional, and also accepted when you want one company. Omit both ticker and symbol for the industry feed.

Understanding the Response
Each headline includes title (the headline), link (the story URL), pubDate (when it was published), description (a short summary), and guid (a stable id). This article does not include a filled numeric sample, so the object below uses those meanings for the keys already listed.

}Store the guid if you poll this endpoint on a timer. That keeps a dashboard from repeating the same story each time the feed refreshes.
Key Fields
- Headline text: title is the headline, and description is a short summary.
- Story link and time: link is the story URL, and pubDate is when it was published.
- Deduping: guid is a stable id you can use to skip stories you have already shown.

Call the endpoint with ticker=AAPL when a symbol page needs the latest headline, link, and publish date beside the quote. symbol is also accepted for that same one-company request.
