@jo51 NVR does a mix, around me in SW Ohio they have a few affordable communities starting in the $200Ks, so definitely smaller spec homes. $KBH does the same. Interestingly, high end home builder $TOL has been on fire with cash buyers making up a big minority of purchases. Long $NVR.

$NVR "Upcoming earnings: 10/22/2024, Consensus Signal: Bullish (8.2) Recent analyses indicate a positive outlook for NVR, Inc. (NYSE:NVR), driven by a combination of rising homebuilder confidence and favorable market trends. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has reported a significant uptick in builder confidence, attributed to decreasing interest rates that are expected to enhance the housing market. Additionally, expert insights highlight a structural supply-demand imbalance in the housing sector, with a noted shortage of homes in America. Analysts are optimistic about NVR's strategic position in this context, underscoring its robust performance and profitability. The stock has gained 35% year-to-date, and its disciplined business model is expected to benefit from continued favorable conditions, including lower mortgage rates and increased demand for new homes. Furthermore, BlackRock's recent acquisition of a substantial stake in NVR demonstrates institutional confidence in the company's outlook. Overall, the sentiment surrounding NVR is bolstered by expectations of strong future performance amid an evolving housing market. Regarding upcoming earnings, NVR, Inc. is anticipated to deliver results that reflect its strong market position and profitability. As the company navigates a favorable environment characterized by declining mortgage rates and heightened demand for new homes, analysts are keenly watching how these factors will influence its financial performance in the upcoming earnings report. The market anticipates that NVR will continue to capitalize on the positive trends in the housing sector, with expectations of solid returns and potential upward pressure on its stock price following the earnings announcement. @hbwalk2 Nope, but Atomera did start out as a candidate on my stock screener. When I did my due diligence it checked nearly all the boxes for a short position, not long. There was always the hope that MST was in fact “the magic” beans. But as time went on it became more and more apparent that these were grifters in Los Gatos padding their bank accounts at the expense of unsophisticated retail investors. Still nothing is 100% certain, I’ve shorted stocks before, then something material happens and I go long and make great money. $NVR is probably the one that was the best example. They declared bankruptcy in 1990, went public in 2004 at around $8 /share and now trade at $9172.00/share (no that’s NOT a typo). I’d hoped Atomera would prove me wrong, I would have loved to switch sides, who doesn’t want 10x? (Let alone 10,000x), but unfortunately I was right. I still made great money on the way down, even if I caught a lot of shyt from the monkey crew for laying out the bear case.
