Oil moving back up, with concerns that there’s going to be a new flare up out of Iran. Worries of a flare up push oil prices higher. Here’s what I have, I’m spread in a few oil plays:
$HNRA my biggest hold right now. Hopefully expanding production this half, according to last PR it’s likely. $NINE one of my absolute favorites for longterm, doesn’t belong in the same category as other low float oil companies. $HUSA and $ENSV are my current high volatility, waiting for the spike to sell plays, shortest term ideas
$SM my hold forever from 2020, hasn’t been forever yet 😘

@sanstock6262 @Sharktooth I just bought oil stocks blindly when oil went negative in 2020. I didn't get on stocktwits until Aug 2020 after MDT left. This board shared enough information for me to learn how to get by. Sold everything on the June 8th Spike and then started buying back in. Rode a couple of them into bankruptcy, made money on some and broke even on others. Almost all my money migrated into $CDEV, $SM and $MTDR.... The latter two were totally thanks to 🌿👨🌾 along with much added confidence in the former 😏

@bazza010101 not knowin what i know now (hindsight!) , can't recall why i didn't pick a low float / shares play like SM. Went back to look at my notes - Aug 2020 - there it was! $SM 5-year rev/EPS history , 1-year 2020 rev/EPS . Went from 315 M rev/ -284 M loss 2016 all the way thru 1.5 B rev/ -56 M loss 2019, to what it is now. Whooopee! Frackin incredible. $PR didn't even IPO till 2018 i think. So they din't have as much history. in both cases , fab mgmt. teams were the hallmark. SOme guy called Mark Pappa founded CDEV , then installed a fine-ass team to run it in Denver.

@bazza010101 man you probably got like a Mil shares of $SM :-)) . yup , it was essentially 3 winners out of 20-25 i followed - $PR, MTDR, SM the rest all as good as trash . Imagine holding HPR or OAS or CRC only to find it go bankrupt one fine morning In the end, its about management and execution. Each of those that went belly up were run by borderline crooks, of which there's aplenty in the oil patch
