$SHLS Shoals Technologies price target lowered to $16 from $18 at Mizuho Mizuho lowered the firm's price target on Shoals Technologies to $16 from $18 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The firm's Q1 clean energy estimates are mostly in line with company guidance and consensus, saying most companies reset expectations on the Q4 earnings call and had good visibility for the quarter. The analyst says Mizuho's most significant change in its quarterly preview is regarding Q2 results for the residential solar and inverter names. The firm expects Q2 installs to be down quarter-over-quarter verses consensus assuming a Q1 trough, based on permitting data which show Q2 MWs down 7% quarter-over-quarter. Mizuho's sector preference for utility solar over residential solar is unchanged.

$SHLS The stock is undervalued but the reason I didn't invest in this company is because the CEO studied at Miami University, president at Baker University, CFO at University of Memphis, SVP at Southern Cross University. None of them inspires any confidence in me!

$SHLS I'm just gonna say it. Shoals is massively undervalued. Trading at less than 3x annual sales, P/E of 35. Even with the solar headwinds, they're expecting a sliver of revenue growth (2%) in 2024, while other solar stocks have seen massive negative growth. Net income expected to jump 150% to $100 million in 2024. At the current price, that's a P/E of **14**. What about their debt? They have $93 million coming due at the end of 2024. Their $100 million in net income plus their $22 million in cash on hand will be more than enough to cover that while we wait for the solar storm to end. Rate cuts will fix this. Commercial ground-mount solar is going to be much more resilient than residential rooftop solar, so the fact that Shoals is being dragged down so much makes no sense. I believe those who are willing to look past the short-term can buy shares of this amazing company at a record low valuation. I'm buying the dip. $ARRY $ENPH $SEDG

$SHLS Buy all these dips. The fact of the matter revolving around this stock is: - $660 million dollar backlog and growing. Future revenues are more or less locked in. - Average analyst price target is $19. The lowest is $12, meaning at minimum analysts see 47% upside. Even after the shrink back warranty issue, analysts have reiterated their buy ratings. - Wire shrink-back is undeniably a defect of a wire producer. In this case, Prysmian. $SHLS will recoup this cost when the bench trial concedes 12/9/2025. - SHLS is considered a utility scale solar industry and should be less effected by the higher for longer interest rates. - Profitability: Profitable the last 3/4 quarters, more than most but the few biggest solar names can say ($ENPH, $FSLR, to name a few). - Drawdown in margins is a result from warranty claims filed as a result the Prysmian wire defects. After these warranties dry up, improved margins return. CNT'D in comments...

$GSM $FSLR $SPWR $TAN $SHLS Remember I’ve been mentioning Q-Cells for a while now. They’re setting themselves up to produce 30+% of all solar panels in North America in the coming years. Who do they source their silicon from? Yes, Ferroglobe. GSM recently bought another quartz mine in South Carolina because they know the volume that’s going to be required for years to come. Several years ago, Ferroglobe was successful in gaining tariffs and anti dumping of silicon into the USA. I see Hanwha obtaining the same protection from Chinese solar panels. The amount of panels that will be built annually is staggering. The beauty of this, they only last about 20 years before they need to be replaced. Recycling of panels will also be a huge business opportunity moving forward. Exclusive: US plans to restore tariffs on dominant solar technology https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-plans-restore-tariffs-dominant-solar-technology-sources-say-2024-04-17/
