@Packland i’m teaching an overall strategy and using $RKLB + other stock as examples… I do not currently hold share of RKLB, it’s extended, but this doesn’t mean it couldn’t run higher. It’s got a lot of momentum + a hot theme…. For big movers like this, until its at a more favorable risk/reward level or has a significant setup, I just trade short term swings on the intraday charts. I personally wouldn’t enter at THESE levels and hold it overnight right now, but if someone was averaged at much lower levels, it’s worth continuing to hold long. It’s not doing anything wrong. Here’s how to build a screen on TradingView to see all the 21EMA/50SMA crosses each day… sometimes there will be a lot of tickers in this list, so I minimize them with an ‘industry’ filter. I remove all the boring industries that move too slow and/or don’t interest me, which i have a separate screen already created for... Right now there aren’t many crosses in the market because most stocks are overextended, so I’m using this version of the screen…. After a major market correction the tickers you know and love will be populating this list. That’s when it’s fun. Also, you can change the intervals and use this for 60min, 5min etc crosses for just the stocks in your watchlist(s). This can help you time better entries on stocks that already match your daily criteria… $APLD $NVDA $PLTR $RKLB $SPY

Here’s an 21EMA/50SMA cross example for $RKLB ‘daily’ chart… I’ve followed this company since they went public via SPAC…. This is what I mean about being careful when you’re in a long term sideways trend. This one is better than many, you could have gotten some quick gains, but look at the steep drops right after peaking each time... It wasn’t sustaining higher highs and higher lows, it just kept falling back to the all-time low= bearish long term trend You can make money on a trend like this short term, but its gonna be much more risky, UNTIL you get to the major trend shift, which recently took place…. It’s currently extended, but this is the type of trend i like to trade + it’s a growing business with a hot THEME… Notice how it started plotting ‘continuation’ patterns up the right side of the chart. This is an indication that the trend is no longer boom-n-bust, it seeing ‘continuation’. Higher highs/lows… $APLD $NVDA $PLTR $SPY

Now here’s an example using $AAPL “daily” chart… the $APLD and SPY examples were using the 5 minute chart… You can use this 21EMA/50SMA cross strategy with ANY interval, you just have to understand that when you’re using a 5 minute chart the entire trend will play out fast, usually within hours…. But when it happens on the daily chart, the trend can last weeks/months, with bigger percentage gains The ‘white’ vertical lines mark when a cross took place but the strategy failed…. This is why you need to learn risk management. With a properly positioned stop loss you can be out with only a couple percent loss… I take losses OFTEN, as long as I keep them small I can make it all back and more quickly with another setup…. But if you take a big loss it can take awhile to make that cash back. Risk management is the most important thing to me, more important than making money. Small losses vs big gains= easy living $NVDA $PLTR $RKLB

Here’s an example on the $APLD 5min chart… I’ve marked all of the 21EMA/50SMA crosses over the past 2 weeks with a vertical orange line… then I measured the % gain from when the bullish cross took place to the highest point before the next bearish cross This strategy will fail a certain percentage of the time, so you need to learn risk management as well It’s best to only use this strategy on ‘liquid’ stocks that are uptrending. If a stock is just trending sideways with no momentum/volume, you will get a lot of false signals… you also need to learn when to sell. You can use the same cross as an indicator to get out, but I employ other strategies that help lock in more of the gains…. By the time a bearish cross takes place, a stock has often pulled back a lot from the high Such a simple strategy yet so profitable. Back test any liquid stock… FYI I am not trading APLD anymore, I’m holding stock/options for the big events. I trade many other ticker though… $SPY $PLTR $NVDA $RKLB

$SPY 5min chart setup for a bottom/rally attempt into the close, right at the daily 21EMA Odds are strong that the markets will be green Monday AM, at least… this was the only bottom/rally attempt setup since Wednesday so it’s due for at least a small bounce LT indicators are positive so this could just be a normal/healthy pullback within a bull market. Right now we gotta view it for what it is. We’re still in a bull market until proven otherwise. Daily/weekly charts are still above key MAs SPY still needs the green MA (50) to start curving up to solidify this 5min setup, but because it pushed over the daily 21EMA in the final minutes I like the odds FYI EVERY sustaining rally has to have the MAs align, but this doesn’t guarantee that a rally will take place. What this tells us is that it’s a good time to start watching for reversal. Pull up any LT uptranding chart (any interval) and see for yourself. Look at areas where the 21EMA crosses 50SMA 5min chart… $APLD $NVDA $RKLB $PLTR
