$PPTA ANTIMONY🔥🔥💣💣 The USA has not produced antimony domestically since the closure of its last mine in Idaho in 2001, and stockpiles in 2003 were reportedly just 1,100 tons (vs consumption of 23,000 tons).
But, this year, Perpetua Resources received a letter of interest from the US Export-Import Bank (EXIM) for a loan worth up to US$1.8 billion to develop an antimony and gold mine in northern Idaho. It comes after the Department of Defence, through the Defense Production Act Investments Program, awarded US$24.8 million to complete an environmental study and US$60 million to fund the permitting process.
According to the company, the mine has the capacity to meet 35% of US demand in the first 6 years.

@Losjuarez @heyisrob @Dutton @Canoe987 Philipsburg is not mentioned enough.
That mill can do 700 tons a day, upgrading antimony ore, that historically couldn’t make the cut off grade.
Add to that UAMY mining claims +
Global sourcing for antimony feedstock +
DoD visits/white paper submission +
Private US military suppliers +
Directive 14017
+
UAMY experience producing military grade +
US annual antimony need is 27,000 tonnes
$UAMY is setting up nicely.
Whether you’re $PPTA , Nova, $XTPT etc
Or $UAMY …..US needs US supplied critical minerals….the volume required suggests there is plenty for everyone to eat.

$PPTA FromSeekinAlpha: Perpetua Resources Corp.’s Stibnite Gold metal development project in the mining-friendly US state of Idaho is a very interesting project that is poised to kick-start the economy’s transition to green and sustainability and its mobilization for war production.
Due to these important matters, relevant US authorities, such as the Department of Defense and the Export-Import Bank of the United States, are showing interest and strong commitment to the project, which aims to establish low-cost, medium-scale gold production as well as domestic antimony production over more than 14 years mine life. Antimony is an important ingredient in the manufacture of ammunition and other military equipment. As geopolitical conflicts create an unprecedented sense that we need to increase security and defense in the Western world, there will be high demand for this product in the United States, while China plans to reduce its exports to other countries, including the United States.

Former NY Representative, Lee Zeldin, the incoming head of the EPA, was critical of China's dominance of rare earth elements and weapons materials during a hearing before the "Subcommittee on Europe. Energy, the Environment, and Cyber," related to an examination of "Translatlantic Cooperation on Critical Supply Chain Security" in 2022. He recommended relaxed rules on mineral extraction necessary for weapons production. Perpetua Resources $PPTA 's area of Idaho was specifically referenced during the hearing as an area that can provide support for weapons production with the right EPA guidance. I do not own $PPTA.

$PPTA I guess the election of trump marked the top in the gold price (only for the time being). Some of trump's policies have inflationary aspects that are presumed to be bad for gold (or at best a mixed bag) but there are some aspects that have actually counteracting elements. I used to read the articles of an economist whose theory was that the massive increase in the inequality between those who are rich and those who are not (which trump's policies should favour), while undesirable in terms of real economy and morally questionable, is actually good for those assets that thrive in an environment of low rates (like gold), because it will boost investments while productive ways of putting those investments to work are scarce (skewing the supply of capital at the expense of demand). This will tend to keep rates low. Now this macro trend is actually so significant to offset all the other factors
