EPA has finalized strict new rules on vehicle emissions that will push auto industry to accelerate its transition from ICE autos Under new rules, EVs could account for up to 56% of new passenger vehicles sold for model years 2030-2032 New rules require auto manufacturers to slash emissions of greenhouse gasses, as well as air pollutants that contribute to soot & smog. The admin says new standards will avoid more than 7B tons of carbon dioxide emissions & deliver almost $100B in annual benefits, including $13B in health benefits as a result of less pollution. Rules cover light- & medium-duty vehicles but not 18-wheelers — from model years 2027 to 2032. EPA rules are not a mandate or a ban on the sale of ICE cars, like some states & other countries have adopted. Instead, the EPA sets standards that apply across an entire fleet. EPA says consumers will be able to opt for gas-powered vehicles w/ particulate filters & gas-electric hybrids. $F $GM $TSLA $LTHM $LAC

Rystad slashes China's mined lithium output growth forecast from +54% to +12%. Globally, it now expects +27% growth in mined lithium output, down from +42% previously. In China, which accted for about a quarter of the world's mined lithium output in FY23, analysts expect the mining of lepidolite - a hard rock ore that is relatively expensive for producing lithium - to slow as a prolonged price slump makes costly production unsustainable. It costs about 80,000 yuan ($11,120) to 120,000 yuan to process a ton of LCE from lepidolite in China, while it costs around 40,000 yuan & 60,000 yuan to get the same volume from brine deposits & spodumene. Spot lithium carbonate prices are around 100,000 yuan from peaks near 600,000 yuan in Nov 2022. CRU: China projects are facing negative margins & very high risk of production curtailment, Almost half of China's lithium output in 2023 came from lepidolite. China ranks 4th in lithium reserves. $TSLA $NIO $XPENG $LTHM $LAC

$LTHM If this stock symbol not valid any more.

$LTHM Had a vibe Arcadium would immediately get caught in a pps downdraft. That’s why we got out of LTHM well before the merger. But, Arcadium Lithium is on our long term watch list. The cycle will eventually bottom and turn, but this commodity play could take quite a while longer

@Mactoast Another good lithium play is $ALTM, previously $LTHM but they merged with Allkem earlier this month to form Arcadium Lithium. Many lithium stocks can be speculative, relying on adjusted EPS/ non-GAAP earnings. But LTHM, itself, was a well-run, profitable company with a good balance sheet. ALTM actually trades in the S&P 400 MidCap $MDY

Algos are very complex. This is why I ONLY buy when a ticker's H% is low.
What strategy do you use to make a trade?
$LTHM I never buy random levels. I'll buy when H% is low for LTHM as I did for other tickers as shown here. Got timestamps and buy fills for the skeptics.
These are just 4 example from many I've traded. The results speak for themselves.

#lithium Inventories are falling back to levels not seen since Mid 2020, when active re-stocking began (2020-2022) and prices 🔼 As the chart below shows, inventories are falling within China's 🇨🇳 supply chain, especially within the domain of Cathode Active Material (CAM) manufacturers. Head of #commodities Market Research @FastmarketsNG William Adams says that "given the size [in which] the overall market is growing [with] more inventory in tonnage terms needed, the months of inventory number is falling and is almost back to where it was before the inventory build got underway." "We expect orders to start flowing upstream again either towards the end of the first quarter or early in the second quarter." $alb $sqm #pilbf $rio $LTHM
