$LOCL Kathie on changes of midwest facility from last update (summarized): Site is the same. Size of the site is still under consideration and the reason being is that a couple of our large customers would like a great amount of capacity at that facility. Also Arugula and Spinach have faster turns as well so that is all factoring into site design and capacity.

$LOCL Degree of comfort to secure the capital and how quickly (question was more specific on sale-leasebacks): “There is a capital provider that is providing capital under our existing Cargill facility that bought in to the Texas facility and they are covering that 30% and they are interested in committing much more capital towards the Midwest facility… Several others want to do construction financing on top of a sale leaseback. We have that sale leaseback with STOR on those California facilities, they and several others… I actually have several term sheets on them. Im not closing on them until we hear from our customers and figure out what size we need the expansions to be as well as the Midwest facility.”

$LOCL Kathie spelling out SKU changes & a little insight to capital efficiency strategy within the company: “… listening to our customers, but also because we are broaden our SKU set in this way, it likewise means that we are able to broaden our relationship with our customers. And what does that mean? It allows us to talk to them about offtake agreements like we have with Sam’s. And then what does that mean for Local Bounti? It means offtake agreements garner better construction financing as well as sale-leaseback financing. And that’s one of the reasons why we backed off from the CCLs that we had talked about in the past because those CCLs required that the funds were to be deployed within a certain timeframe. We didn’t want to close on that funding because we have to listen to what our customers are saying so the builds are sold out before we break ground.”
