$ HON Aero segment has done well. The energy sector is fine. The Industrial automation will recover eventually. Honeywell will be lifted. $HON stock has a lower P/E and higher yield in its sector. The share buyback is another plus. JMHO GL

"Honeywell delivered a strong start to 2024. Organic growth was led by double-digit growth in both our commercial aviation and defense and space businesses," said Vimal Kapur, chief executive officer of Honeywell. "As long-cycle customer demand remained strong, our robust backlog increased 6% year over year and was up sequentially, ending the quarter at a record level of $32.0 billion. We also experienced pockets of recovery in short cycle, and expect broader participation as the year unfolds and channels normalize further. Improving business mix, continued focus on commercial excellence, and productivity actions enabled us to expand margins in line with the high end of our guidance range and overdeliver on our adjusted earnings per share guidance."

Personally I see this move as a collaborative teamwork professional recognition to let the other engineers share advancements too, giving their space and spotlight. From an HR perspective, share success stories among various people empowers the whole team towards IONQ mission. As opposed to last 2 ER, remember that this time there won’t be no more cofounders coming back to academia, no bad news in the horizon. Last year on May ER, price rise but it skyrocketed with Quantum Basel 2 system sales plus AI hype. History can repeat again in 2024 without system sales if the technical advancements are consider by market a clear way to scalability and profitability.
