$HLIT Activists popping out of the woodwork here which is what I like to see. I agree that this company is absolutely an embedded value buyout candidate that could have a host of strategic suitors. $HLIT Inching up after the absurd sell off. Jefferies who were the most bearish on the stock were also weirdly angry and aggressive on the conf call. Had a whiff of an options bet gone bad with post call price target retaliation. Regardless. Just based on 2024 anticipated PE they should be at the 14-15 range now.

$HLIT Midday analyst PTs updated here (highest to lowest): Needham $18 Barclays $17 Rosenblatt $16 Raymond James $14 Jefferies $12.50 New consensus: $15.5 (40% lift from current SP) Most analysts had this at 16-20 prior to the call so you can see what they thought of management's bungling of the q&a and commentary but I still see this as a solid buy at these levels.

@HTNY Obviously the reversal was confusing. Earnings were very good but management muffed the guidance by basically saying they don’t have visibility. So I’m kinda at a loss. $HLIT is one of my long term holds. And I don’t trade them much. I generally just build them up and then sell options and collect dividends. So that’s the path I’ll continue on until i see some reason to change. Your flexibility to exit and reenter at a lower price point was genius. So congratulations to you. As for me, I liked the earnings and revenue increases so I’ll just continue to add and lower my cost basis. By the way, HLIT was my second buy in the Communication Equipment area. My first was ITI but I’m out of that now. The industry actually looks quite fertile.

$HLIT Barclays cuts their PT on Harmonic from 20 to 17. Once you cut through the overreaction to a wishy washy verbal forecast last night you realize that underlying it is a growing company with strong EPS, robust moat and fundamentals. I'm going to be buying and waiting here. They also have an untouched buyback allocation available to support the stocks floor.

$HLIT According to their CC, their revenue for next quarter is gonna be 205-220M, which is lower than expected (218M) at mid point. And there are unified transition stuff next year which delays the revenue from their customers. Which is a headwind in short term (2025) but a tailwind in the longer term, according to their sayings in the cc. But they can't give out estimations of impacts yet (Which is a big minus cause people don't like uncertainty). Also when a company isn't growing anymore, valuation would start to become more concerning (not saying it's overvalued here, but it's at least not undervalued). On the other hand, we have an earnings beat (by a pretty big margin tbh) this quarter. So overall, I think the drop is justified if we look at it in the short term, though this could provide a buying opportunity for the long term. However, whether a 20% drop is too much or not, we don't know for sure, there aren't a lot of liquidity in the AH, also the spread is pretty big.
