@Luczimmer @hellojellomello I don't want more nuclear. I just dumped my entire $BEPC when I found out they were involved in nuclear. Nuclear waste is a far worse for health and the environment than natural gas. trumps pick for energy secretary worked in the solar industry, but he doesn't favor solar. He thinks it will increase the cost of electricity. trump could be a serious set back for solar and a disaster for the environment. There are much more important issues at stake then my stocks portfolio...

$BEPC Sold my entire position of BEPC for a33% gain. Although I liked the renewable energy focus I was unaware of BEPC exposure to nuclear power. I believe the environmental danger posed by nuclear, especially the waste, is far worse than that posed by any other energy source. I will be putting some of the money formally in $BEPC into $HASI and $ENPH. Long $ENPH $FSLR $HASI

$BEPC Trump policies going to add $10T of fiscal deficit over ten years. Inflation going to go out of hand, plus with the high energy demands of AI data centers. A sustainable way to fix this? Low electricity cost through renewable energy source, particularly nuclear energy. Trump has to push for both oil/gas and nuclear energy. Countries relying on oil imports have to push for nuclear energy (diversify energy source) or they face an energy crisis like Germany when their gas pipeline gets cut off due to volatile geopolitics, but where could they get nuclear technology from if not from the great Westinghouse? Did you know USA, in return for providing nuclear technology, prevents reprocess of uranium waste for fear of building nuclear bombs? Pushing for nuclear technology globally through leveraging technology from Westinghouse, which has a deep history of such cases, gains US significant leverage as well. Absolutely fucking bullish. Plus great dividends.

$BEPC From the call: 'we're the lowest cost producer of the most important commodity [...] not reliant on government subsidies and no influence of elections [...] not involved in higher cost energy sectors that carry more risk from change in government regulations [..] great data center energy demand [..] ready to develop nuclear with Westinghouse [...] geographically diverse portfolio [...] invested in nuclear, batteries and biofuel, which they consider most promising energy classes in the future [..] invested in promising infinium, sustainable aviation fuel [...] power demand is ramping up [...] elections are a hard positive for Westinghouse potential [...] ANY growth in nuclear sector, Westinghouse will benefit [...] largest reactor and leading in smaller modular reactors [...] BEPC only renewable corp that also has nuclear'

$BEPC $BEP $CCJ Spoke with a Korean nuclear engineer, and I might have to bite the bullet on this one. Biased, but I agree. Apparently, a way in which Korea were able to fight inflation was to reduce electricity costs through subsidies aimed at the domestic nuclear industry, partly to dilute their reliance on oil exports but also to weaken the correlative link between high energy price and non-energy goods. No clue to what extent this concept would be applicable to the US as they are one of the largest exporters of oil but pushing for nuclear energy seems to be one of the few sustainable path accounting for the projected ridiculously large fiscal deficits of both candidates, high electricity demand for AI data centers, and nuclear industry competition with China.
