$STEM $FLNC $GNRC $BEP $BEPC - Recent Bloomberg article about Generac looking for M&A opportunities in the “energy technology” space and specifically mentioned storage.
This area is ripe for some larger players to come in and grab since valuable assets at a fire sale price. CEO Jagdfeld would be smart to look at STEM with its best in class technology at the current market pricing..

$BEP sorry I should clarify why I consider this a scam. Brookfield places a bunch of end of life and depreciating assets into here then spins it off. Now BEP is essentially dying a slow death and paying large dividends to the parent company while being less of a problem on their books. We all know BEP is dying and out of business in the next decade. The problem I have is they lean into hype so that their bad assets are shown way more valuable than they are when spun off. My price target is $10 for 2025.

@JakeCMoney $BEP & $BEPC don't trade along with FSLR, SPWR, ENPH, SEDG, PLUG, etc. Thank goodness! Have you seen how hard these stocks have been hit? It will, however, benefit when green energy becomes a priority again. For now, it's trading on its underlying (unfashionable) value as a utility and maybe getting a slight premium for being a safer bet than other utilities that will (eventually) need to invest in decarbonization.

@Bobberty Another wacky, low information comment..The main reason this stock is depressed is because we have a fed that's been raising interest rates (ie not dovish). Brookfield is among the 10 best managed and respected, mega cap conglomerates in the world. This is a dividend yielding, utility stock, 100% invested on the right side of the climate problem. Considering the macro trends of war and rightwing climate change denying politics, it's astonishing how well $BEP and $BEPC have fared. It demonstrates how competitive renewables have become.

$BEP $BEP Eventually, renewables and carbon divestement will become fashionable again. In the meantime, this is the best green dividend hedge out there for those of us heavily invested in tech. If we have an overall economic downturn, it'll rise as interest rates drop. If there isn't a downturn, it'll just linger around 23 offering a 5-6% dividend. If Biden prevails, $BEP will get a bump; if it's Trump, it'll be a bit lower and just keep tracking interest rates. Long term though, renewables and electrification are the only way forward.
