$WGO RVIA is an association that cheerleads for the industry, and releases both sales projections and unaudited sales report figures. See the problem? $WGO GRYP it. The deliberate reduction in the issuance of new coins makes Bitcoin increasingly scarce over time, fostering a sense of digital rarity, a key factor that underpins Bitcoin's appeal and potential as a store of value.

$WGO CHART of day - dealers still cautious holding inventory, they said on call

Posted - 1 month ago
$WGO: Following rival RV maker Thor Industries' (THO) deflating JanQ results earlier this month, Winnebago (+6.2%) shares turned sharply lower, erasing their 2024 gains. However, even though the near-term demand landscape remains cloudy, WGO is seeing a few rays of sunshine peak through. The company exceeded Q2 (Feb) earnings estimates, a welcoming reversal from the double-digit miss posted last quarter. Meanwhile, WGO forecasted reasonably uplifting financial performance over the coming years as the RV industry returns to pre-COVID dynamics, projecting around +51% revenue growth, several points of gross margin expansion, and a couple of points of RV market share capture. As a result, WGO is enjoying a healthy push higher today. It is no secret that the RV industry is amid numerous headwinds, from elevated interest rates keeping financing costs high to insurance, gasoline, and parts prices pushing the cost of ownership beyond consumers' comfort levels. https://www.briefing.com/story-stocks/archive/2024/3/21/winnebago-heads-higher-projects-healthy-mediumterm-demand-following-solid-febq-results-(wgo)?utm_campaign=storystocks&utm_medium=social&utm_source=st&utm_content=link

$WGO Also, Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis sold $2.6M worth of $CWH stock yesterday. That is a very interesting data point considering the operating environment for RV dealers... which are WGO's customers.

$WGO The outlook here is so bad, it's a gift at these levels for shorts. I encourage investors to look into the developing shitstorm that is the RV (and boat) market, especially for motorhomes. Revenues are trending down, RV lots are overextended on inventory while RV values sink (many closings expected), gas prices are up, and interest rate relief is nowhere in sight. The RVIA forecasts cited in WGO's Q2 presentation are polyannish. In order to deliver on the 10.8 forward PE this stock has, it will have to average $1.60 EPS/Qtr over the next year. The previous 4-QTR EPS average: $1.43 - which is down 49% from the 4 quarters before that. And like I said, the RV market fundamentals show no signs of improving outside of small blip up in towable deliveries (which occurred because last year at that time manufactures had cut down on production). Their Q2 presentation is worth a look for anyone holding this stock in their portfolio, or that of their clients! Awful downward trends.

$WGO Winnebago reports Q2 adjusted EPS 93c, consensus 85c Reports Q2 revenue $703.6M, consensus $706.45M. "Winnebago Industries performed in line with our expectations for the quarter, navigating the effects of ongoing softness in the RV and marine markets," said President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Happe. "As anticipated, wholesale shipments were constrained in the quarter, as dealers continued to closely manage inventory levels amid a higher interest rate environment and seasonal demand trends. Despite these macroeconomic challenges, we continue to demonstrate resilient profitability and an unwavering commitment to operational discipline that is reflected in the Company's diversified portfolio of premium brands, investments in new products and technologies, and healthy balance sheet."

$WGO "There are a few—a very few—voices calling out this forecasting malpractice. Industry consultant John Spader, for example, has observed that as of June 30, the average North American RV dealer’s debt-to-equity ratio had ballooned from 0.97:1 in 2021 to 1.73:1 in 2022 to 3.64:1 in 2023. As he notes, the debt-to-equity ratio is “arguably the most important measure of a dealer’s financial health” and its ability to manage debt. Most lenders want to see a ratio of 4.0:1 or less, so as this trend continues in the wrong direction, expect to see a growing number of RV dealerships going belly-up as they fall afoul of financing covenants. Disappearing dealerships don’t do much to increase sales." https://www.rvtravel.com/rv-industry-2024-predictions-wishful-thinking-1134/

$WGO "The “cash crunch” at RV dealerships has escalated over the past 12 months and will likely continue into the future. Margins on sales have dropped, costs of nearly everything has risen, and maintaining safety in cash flow is more critical than ever. Some dealers will see the handwriting on the wall and close voluntarily rather than lose their entire personal asset base. Others will be forced to do the same as cash flow reaches critical levels." https://rvbusiness.com/opinion-stagnant-rv-market-will-continue-through-2024/
