$VAL Valaris reports Q1 EPS 35c, consensus 5c Reports Q1 revenue $525M, consensus $498.21M. President and Chief Executive Officer Anton Dibowitz said, "I am very pleased with our start to 2024 as we delivered strong safety and operational performance during the first quarter as evidenced by fleetwide revenue efficiency of 97%. Our financial results also benefited from more operating days for our most recent drillship reactivation, VALARIS DS-8. In addition, we were awarded new contracts and extensions with associated contract backlog of more than $520 million, including a multi-year contract offshore Angola for VALARIS 144 at a leading-edge day rate for a benign environment jackup."

$RIG $DO $VAL $TDW $NE Added back two more names this morning in addition to my core offshore holdings. I believe there is short term asymmetrical risk favoring the upside. However, as always, I can be very wrong and will need to manage the trade.

@Devils123 I believe a leader is $TDW (I've been in it for a while). I'm also in $VAL and $SMHI along with $NE. Watching RIG and DO but there are others as well. I'm sure you saw $SLB's acquisition today.

$VAL The strike price for warrants will not be easy to hit and is not guaranteed.. Chances are I think we hit that strike price though.. The strongest year of the company is next year!! So 110.00 this year we probably hit it in 2025-2026!!!! Just a lucky guess not advice

@net0trader @MaverikIT @IsabellaDC @RonIsWrong @Wigglyick IMHO, offshore drillers are also poised for an up-cycle. I have been in $TDW and $VAL for a little while. I'm also in $SMHI and looking to possibly buy a couple others.

$VAL Valaris price target lowered to $102 from $105 at Barclays Barclays lowered the firm's price target on Valaris to $102 from $105 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares. Despite white space and negative data points likely to come through for the offshore drillers, the medium-term outlook is stronger than it was a month ago, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm "conservatively" lowered dayrate assumptions but still see significant upside across some names at current share levels.
