$OLN Olin price target lowered to $50 from $55 at JPMorgan JPMorgan lowered the firm's price target on Olin to $50 from $55 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares post the Q3 report. While hurricane penalties to Olin in 2024 should total $135M in EBITDA , the absence of these factors should lead to double-digit EBITDA growth as a base case in 2025, the analyst tells investors in a research note. However, the firm says there is no particular strength in any of Olin's end markets. Caustic soda demand is weak but prices are moving up because of producer outages, adds JPMorgan.

$OLN Olin price target lowered to $48 from $55 at Citi Citi analyst Patrick Cunningham lowered the firm's price target on Olin to $48 from $55 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares post the Q3 report. The company expressed confidence in the current direction of the caustic market, which has improved this year, and noted the positive performance could be further supported by any uplift in the industrial end market, the analyst tells investors in a research note. However, the firm reset estimates, noting Olin did not provide guidance for 2025.

$OLN Based on a question re 2025 CEO indicates that 2025 will look very similar to 2024 excluding the Hurricane charge So that would put them at $2.01 in eps @ generous 15 PE ..$30 share price

$OLN YTD 2024 they purchased back $4.9M shares @ a cost of $256M Average cost per share $52.24…. I haven’t seen anything positive here…..

User Image YouOnlyLiveTwice Posted - 10/24/24

$OLN Even if you add back the loss related to the hurricane they would be @ $1B in EBITDA for 2024 that’s still 30% less than 2023… They have a lot of explaining to do….

User Image YouOnlyLiveTwice Posted - 10/24/24

$OLN EPS was pegged @ $.04 that included the $100M charge for the Hurricane expenses however there was an additional $9.4M in expenses. Even if you adjusted the $9.4M out they still would have missed by $.17 cents Issue was Chlor Alkali pricing and higher costs related to Winchester w respect to propellant costs Also they only have $700M left on the buyback. Their buybacks for the year are way underwater There’s nothing to like here. Not sure how they’re going to spin this tomorrow. Also curious if they mention what they’re seeing for 2025.

User Image Okadarlan Posted - 10/24/24

$OLN my patience might pay off huge.

User Image MYass50 Posted - 10/24/24

$OLN most of the loss was priced in due to Beryl, still to see some impact around Q4 of 25mm to EPS. expected q4 EBITDA 170-200mm, for total ebitda 2024 of 850-880mm. i mean you couldnt forecast Beryl, this means they wouldve been in line for 1bn EBITDA as projected. This name will probably play out in 2026…. until then im not looking at it - only thing that can change the timing is a buy out…. Median chemical multiple is 8x…. assuming 1bn EBITDA 2025 this could go for 68 bucks/share - the high reached in 2022. probably will consider loading up at 35
