$MGNI I’m curious if anyone has some perspective on the news of Comcast spinning off cable networks. Will the spun off part have their ad tech? If it is without its ad tech, would that give Magnite another potential customer?

$MGNI The lawsuit said Google had “corrupted legitimate competition in the ad tech industry by engaging in a systematic campaign to seize control of the wide swath of high-tech tools used by publishers, advertisers and brokers to facilitate digital advertising.”

$MGNI Google’s lawyers wrapped up their arguments in the case on Friday, after which the government offered a short rebuttal. Judge Leonie Brinkema of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, who is presiding over the nonjury trial, is expected to deliver a ruling in the coming months, after both sides summarize their cases in writing and deliver closing arguments on Nov. 25.

$MGNI TTD just announced that it has developed "Ventura", a new streaming TV operating system (OS); there might be advantages for Magnite with it: (1) Ventura’s emphasis on a more transparent and efficient supply chain benefits Magnite as publishers and advertisers will likely prefer platforms that integrate with the clean ecosystem Ventura promotes; (2) Magnite already supports UID2 which aligns with Ventura’s goals of precision targeting and audience matching; this synergy may lead to strengthened collaboration opportunities between Magnite and TTD, improving Magnite’s standing as a sell-side solution; (3) Ventura once again underlines the continued shift to ad-supported streaming options and increased advertising budgets for CTV will eventually increase overall market size; Magnite as major CTV-focused SSP will benefit from this growth https://investors.thetradedesk.com/news-events/news-details/2024/The-Trade-Desk-Announces-Ventura-a-Revolutionary-Streaming-TV-Operating-System/default.aspx

$MGNI It depends how patient you want to be and of course, favorable market conditions must prevail, but MGNI will eventually will take out its ATH of $61.80. My guess is in the next 2-3 years. Here’s MB on the curation business…
“Yes, I'll tell you, it's incredible. So Jason, we've been talking about this whole kind of moving audience targeting to the sell-side and I think that the -- what's been the hindrance to that is there's still third-party cookies, right? And most publishers are like, hey, until the third-party cookie goes away, I'm going to continue to transact the way I always did.
But now that they feel that it is going away, even though the hiccup with Chrome deprecation of cookies, they are really leaning into it. So we've seen it is early days and its early revenue, but we've seen a big explosion in it from a theory to reality. And so you're seeing quite a bit of publishers adopting it.”

$MGNI weird there's no AH market action on the Google news. Can't imagine any incoming Justice Dept head would try to invalidate this ruling. Not like Google is beloved by the far right. Then again, there will be appeals for years.

$MGNI Top Justice Department antitrust officials have decided to ask a judge to force Alphabet Inc.’s Google to sell off its Chrome browser in what would be a historic crackdown on one of the biggest tech companies in the world.
The department will ask the judge, who ruled in August that Google illegally monopolized the search market, to require measures related to artificial intelligence and its Android smartphone operating system, according to people familiar with the plans.
Antitrust officials, along with states that have joined the case, also plan to recommend Wednesday that federal judge Amit Mehta impose data licensing requirements, said the people, who asked not to be named discussing a confidential matter.
