The Commercial Banking segment provides lending, transactional banking, working capital management, risk management, and debt financing services to small and medium-sized entities, corporates, and institutions. The Insurance, Pensions, and Investments segment offers insurance, investment, and pension management products and services. It also provides digital banking services. The company offers its products and services under the Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland, Scottish Widows, MBNA, Schroders Personal Wealth, Black Horse, Lex Autolease, Birmingham Midshires, LDC, AMC, Embark Group, Citra, IWeb, Cavendish Online, and Tusker brand names. $LYG Lloyds Banking reports Q1 net income GBP 4.24B vs. GBP 4.65B last year Statutory profit after tax of GBP 1.2B with net income down 9% in the prior year and operating costs up 11%, partly offset by the benefit of a lower impairment charge; Return on tangible equity of 13.3%; Underlying net interest income of GBP 3.2B down 10%, with a lower banking net interest margin, as expected, of 2.95% and average interest-earning banking assets of GBP 449.1B. "The Group is continuing to deliver in line with expectations in the first quarter of 2024, with solid net income, cost discipline and strong asset quality. Our performance provides us with further confidence around our strategic ambitions and 2024 and 2026 guidance. Guided by our purpose, we are continuing to support customers and successfully execute against our strategic outcomes, as highlighted in the third of our strategic seminars last month. This underpins our ambition of higher, more sustainable returns that will deliver for all of our stakeholders as we continue to Help Britain Prosper," said CEO Charlie Nunn.

$LYG Lloyds Banking, PayPoint expand partnership PayPoint and Lloyds Bank announced a major partnership expansion, which will see Lloyds Bank Cardnet become the main card acquiring partner across the PayPoint Group's network of over 60,000 SME and retailer partners. The expanded partnership, going into pilot in Q2 FY24/25, with a full launch expected in Q3 FY24/25, will offer merchants a banking and card services proposition combining card payments, a 12-month fee-free Lloyds bank business account and a connected competitive commercial card offering. The agreement extends to Northern Ireland as a new territory for the Handepay business, and additional revenue streams for the Merchant Rentals terminal lease business, as well as creating further growth opportunities for the PayPoint Group's enhanced range of capabilities, including a merchant rewards scheme leveraging the Love2shop rewards and engagement platform.

$LYG Lloyds Banking reports Q4 net income GBP 4.232B vs GBP 4.693B last year Statutory profit after tax for Q4 was GBP 1.234B vs GBP 1.706B last year; net interest margin of 2.98% vs 3.22% last year. Net interest income in the fourth quarter of GBP 3.317B was lower than the third quarter, with a lower net interest margin of 2.98 per cent from mortgage pricing and deposit mix headwinds.
