$LYG Lloyds Banking 'confident' in 2026 guidance The company said, "Based on our current macroeconomic assumptions and confidence in our strategy, the Group is maintaining its medium-term guidance for 2026: Cost:income ratio of less than 50 per cent; Return on tangible equity of greater than 15 per cent; Capital generation of greater than 200 basis points; To pay down to a CET1 ratio of c.13 per cent."

$LYG Lloyds Banking reaffirms 2024 guidance The company said, "Based on our current macroeconomic assumptions, for 2024 the Group continues to expect: Banking net interest margin of greater than 290 basis points; Operating costs of c.GBP 9.4 billion including the c.GBP 0.1 billion Bank of England Levy; Asset quality ratio now expected to be less than 20 basis points; Return on tangible equity of c.13 per cent; Capital generation of c.175 basis points; Risk-weighted assets between GBP 220 billion and GBP 225 billion; To pay down to a CET1 ratio of c.13.5 per cent."

$LYG Lloyds Banking reports 1H net income GBP 8.39B vs.GBP 9.19B last year Reports EPS 3.4p vs. 3.9p last year. Statutory profit after tax of GBP 2.4 billion with net income down 9 per cent on the prior year and operating costs up 7 per cent, partly offset by a lower impairment charge; Return on tangible equity of 13.5 per cent; Underlying net interest income of GBP 6.3 billion, down 10 per cent with a lower banking net interest margin, as expected, of 2.94 per cent and average interest-earning banking assets of GBP 449.2 billion. "In the first six months of 2024, the Group delivered robust financial results with solid income performance and cost discipline alongside strong capital generation. 2024 is a key year for our strategic delivery. We continue to deliver on our strategic transformation, as illustrated in the fourth of our investor seminars last month. We remain on track to meet our 2024 targeted outcomes. Indeed, our progress to date enables us to reaffirm 2024 guidance and remain confident in achieving our 2026 strategic objectives and guidance. $LYG Lloyds Banking, PayPoint expand partnership PayPoint and Lloyds Bank announced a major partnership expansion, which will see Lloyds Bank Cardnet become the main card acquiring partner across the PayPoint Group's network of over 60,000 SME and retailer partners. The expanded partnership, going into pilot in Q2 FY24/25, with a full launch expected in Q3 FY24/25, will offer merchants a banking and card services proposition combining card payments, a 12-month fee-free Lloyds bank business account and a connected competitive commercial card offering. The agreement extends to Northern Ireland as a new territory for the Handepay business, and additional revenue streams for the Merchant Rentals terminal lease business, as well as creating further growth opportunities for the PayPoint Group's enhanced range of capabilities, including a merchant rewards scheme leveraging the Love2shop rewards and engagement platform.
