$FNMA $FMCC John McKernan may be tapped for FHFA, he doesn’t look very experienced in the Housing Market. Maybe that would be a good thing. Trump is planning to shutdown FHFA and doesn't want to waste any talent on a dead appointment. All he needs is a yes man.

$FMCC $FNMA Trump readies shortlist - Jonathan McKernan may be tapped for the FHFA. Getting the two mortgage giants out of government conservatorship and back into shareholders’ hands has been a long-time goal of conservatives. https://www.semafor.com/article/11/19/2024/trump-readies-short-list-for-financial-agencies

$FNMA $FMCC All of the potential Treasury nominee's who have made public comments about the GSE's release are out of the running, or chosen for other offices. Hence, the pull back today. Warsh, Rowan and the other canidates have not given positive indications about release, that I can find. Therefore, both commans and preferred will be very sluggish and might even retrack a bit in the next 2+ months. I can't imagine any nominee risking his nomination by making unnecessary GSE comments, which might offend some deep-state Senator.

$FNMA $FMCC The shorting game is wild. Down .40 today?? Come on. Some idiot downgrades to $3 and silly day traders fall for it. Those who have been around know the twins will get released, and are easily worth $50+ per share value

$FNMA $FMCC If you think about it, we are putting a little too much on who will be Secretary Treasurer. Mnuchin had very little input to Calabria’s plan. We just need someone who won’t drag their feet like Calabria, to Head the FHFA.

$FNMA $FMCC when market turns around later this week we'll be above $3.25 again. $4 on by 1/20/2025.

$FMCC Fannie Mae (OTCQB:FNMA) stock slumped 9.5% and Freddie Mac (OTCQB:FMCC) shares slid 8.4% in Wednesday afternoon trading after Keefe, Bruyette & Woods downgraded the companies, which are both under government conservatorship, to Market Perform due to dilution risk from a potential release of the mortgage guarantee giants. Analyst Bose George believes that government-sponsored enterprise privatization could be on the Trump agenda. However, KBW thinks it would need to be done under the current Congressional charter, which would maintain the implicit guaranty, he said. "While the odds of GSE reform ultimately crossing the finish line are not high given significant challenges, we think we could see an effort in earnest to achieve GSE reform starting in 2025," George wrote in a note to clients.

User Image WingsJr Posted - 1 day ago

$FNMA $FMCC Keefe who? If they wanted to dilute or wipe out the shareholders, they would’ve done it along time ago, they can’t do it and they know if they try to take any more of our wealth that there will be a huge class action lawsuit that will end their plans of releasing Fannie and Freddie until all legal avenues are exhausted.
