$EVC now that divy looks secure and revenue growth back on track this is now a divy darling at 8% at $2.50 and 9.22% annualized. Looks like accumulation. I am watching daily. It runs 4-5 cents on about 50,000 shares getting bought and drops about the same on just a few thousand shares selling. Called the Texas Two Step. Assets are solid. I would not be surprised to see an accretive large acquisition or major asset sales. A catalyst is coming.

$EVC Others see value as well. American Century filed 13G today as the #1 institutional holder. They added 1,106,453 new shares in Q3. Now hold 11,452,749 shares or 14.2%. Will be interesting to see what #2 holder did since they also added in Q2. EVC up today on this news while sector down.

$EVC despite my criticisms this company is worth 2 to 3 times plus the current value. almost all the current options for management are exercisable at about double current price. The recent reorganization of business units into two separate units and realignment of corporate and operating expenses makes it easy to sell the digital operations. The spectrum alone is well worth five dollars plus in any future auction. They may also be wanting to to get 100 to 150 million in cash for those operations. Investors are realizing today that the $15 million and one time income tax for Q3 is an anomaly.

$EVC new CEO needs to go. Revenues up 25% and cost of revenues up 25% and operating expenses up 30%. What the hell? Many of these expenses are fixed charges. At best an increase of 15% would have loaded the bottom line. I posted months ago when ceo added $2M+ in payroll for news additional to get political was a boner. It would take $6M+ in additional revenue at best to break even. CEO needs to go back to banking.

$EVC another major question that comes to mind is they just announced they realigned their two business units as of July 1, 2024. But there was no mention when they filed their QT report 5 to 6 weeks after this event in early August. This management team is not sharing timely information. The new CEO has no idea of what he is doing here. There was also no breakdown of how much severance cost were for the quarter.

$EVC nobody has even realized yet that with an FCC Trump, the ownership cap could be lifted. M&A will be alive and well. I would not be surprised to see Televisa Univision make a buyout. They already own 9 million shares if memory serves. Ms. Ulloa cannot be too happy owning 18% of the shares. She filed with the FCC as an activist investor but then reached a standstill agreement with the board. One has to wonder when she has had enough.

$EVC One has to wonder if this inept management is intentionally destroying stockholder value. Or is it time to issue new options and grants.? The latest report included no details or comparisons to show the improvements made. They paid almost $15 million in income tax. How? They haven’t even made that much in several years. They sure didn’t make it in the third quarter. Then look at how they gave themselves $3.7 million in free stock in the quarter. That’s a non-cash expense. Free cash flow was over $10 million. If they had just explained the $15 million expense on income tax stock would not have crashed. The big question is why are they waiting 24 hours to explain everything. It’s like they want to crash the stock today.

$EVC Big seller popped up with 50,000+ at $2.48 and now putting large blocks 20,000+/- up constantly. Someone unloading that bought cheap shares. We need the high volume to shake out weak hands.

$EVC SSP just reported political up 20-25% from projections three months ago. If same for EVC that would translate from $40M to $48-50M. It would suck up some local and scatter market ads but translate to at least 3-4 cents in extra eps and cf.

$EVC this is the first time in almost 20 years that I have traded and followed this company that they are reporting earnings but having the call 24 hours later. As best I remember they have always announced earnings on Thursday. First time on Wednesday. Very unusual and something may be up

$EVC After reviewing this research update today I think $45 M political is possible. That would blow away expect:
“We boost our 2024 total political advertising estimate to $36m from $34m. This is still below the $40m view that EVC has mentioned in prior conference presentations, but does assume an 84% increase for TV and 62% increase in total from 2020, after adjusting for the loss of three Univision affiliations at the end of 2021. Although EVC has added weekend news in a number of markets, such as San Diego, Las Vegas, Denver, El Paso and McAllen, we expect Las Vegas to rake in the most political ads, as we estimate that Nevada accounted for roughly half of EVC’s 2022 political ad revenue.”

$EVC I am predicting $41/42M+ on political not $38 M.

$EVC continued:”raising our 4Q EBITDA estimate, on the assumption that higher political advertising will bring higher OCF margins, 2) raising our 2025 estimates for the higher 2024 base, 3) adjusting our WACC estimates for updated beta and macro inputs, and 4) raising our out-year OCF margin estimates. We trim our core TV revenue growth assumptions for 3Q and 4Q to -9%, putting them in line with those in 3Q/4Q 2022 on caution about political displacement of other advertising, especially given flattish auto sales. Deterioration in balance sheet partially offsets valuation impact of our estimate changes. See Fig. 4 & 12. Pro forma net debt has increased to $93.1m from $41.9m prior to 2Q results. At 6/30, total and net leverage were 3.0x and 2.2x, compared to 3.1x and 1.4x at 3/31, respectively.”

$EVC Industry Capital Research this morning:
“Ahead of 3Q results set for November 7 AMC, our PT goes to $2.50 from $2. The call will be at 5:00pm ET, with dial-in 800 717-1738 or 646 307-1865. Our 2024 reported EBITDA estimate goes to $59.6m from $57.3m. See Fig. 3. Our 3Q revenue growth estimates for digital, TV and radio are +16% (pro forma dispositions), +19%, and +5%, respectively, and operating cash flow margin estimates for digital, TV and radio are 11.9%, 39.6%, and 19.7%, vs. 3.9%, 32.7% and 19.7% in 3Q23, respectively. 3Q revenue pacing as of early August was +17% for digital, +9% for TV, and flat for radio, vs. our prior estimates of +19%/+21%/+7%, although this pacing was not comparable to our estimates because of the expected build of political advertising in the quarter. Aside from updating for 2Q results and guidance,.
