$CHX ChampionX price target lowered to $33 from $40 at Piper Sandler Piper Sandler lowered the firm's price target on ChampionX to $33 from $40 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. The firm says oilfield services sentiment is "fairly poor" heading into the Q2 reports, and it has a "hard time poking holes in this aside from some positioning that could get squeezy." Names in the sector "appear cheap, but this appears to be the common OFS value vs value trap," the analyst tells investors in a research note. Piper believes it's more of the latter.

$SLB $CHX SLB and ChampionX get 2nd request for information from DoJ on review of deal SLB (SLB) announced that, as expected, it and ChampionX (CHX) have each received a request for additional information, second request, from the United States Department of Justice DoJ in connection with the DoJ's review of SLB's previously announced planned acquisition of ChampionX. SLB currently expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of 2024 or the first quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. The transaction received the approval of the ChampionX stockholders at a special meeting held on June 18.

@StockRedBaron LMAO, your comparison among $CHX and $SBFM is beyond DUMB.... why don't you compare their ROA, ROE, Profit margin, gross profit, Ebitda ? I know why, because SBFM has none and negative everything, vs positive ROA, ROE, profit margins, etc etc... is that how you gamble your pennies, with the wrong metrics per share ? no wonder why you keep being a bag holder

Our ongoing focus on productivity contributed to strong year-over-year profitability improvement," CEO Sivasankaran Somasundaram said. "During Q1 2024, we generated revenue of $922M, which decreased 3% year-over-year. Revenue declined 2% sequentially, in line with our expectations, driven by a typical seasonal decline in international operations, partially offset by higher volumes in our shorter-cycle North American businesses. We generated net income attributable to ChampionX of $113M, which increased 78% year-over-year and 46% sequentially, and adjusted EBITDA of $192M, which increased 4% year-over-year and declined 3% sequentially.
