Gold sub-industry has weakened dramatically with the continuing dollar strength since the election. The % of technically healthy stocks has dropped from a high of 92% in October to just 4% now. With multiple Stage 4A breakdown attempts underway. The Gold group chart is Stage 3, but further weakness could tip it into Stage 4. So would need to rebound soon to avoid that. $IAUX It was a bit of surprise to see this implode so massively today. They have $10-15 billion in gold and silver resources in the ground and what was considered a seasoned management team of successful mine builders have been given the boot. Gone are Gollat and Downie and the new CEO is licking his wounds after buying 675,000 shares for $1.02 million in stock on the open market last August now worth $283,000. Ouch. The lawyers made sure they included a boilerplate "going concern " warning to cover their backsides but it is unlikely they will go BK. Those 2 words are usually good for a 50% haircut. The resources are real and when the dust clears I suspect they will package the deal and sell it to one of the big builders like $GOLD $NEM $AEM who will make the new CEO whole and give him a job. The same thing happened to Marathon Gold last year. I bought 40,000 of shares in the $.35 to $.38 range with the thesis they will be bought out around $1+ next year.

$aem Earnings conference was good... The company had 1 billion in debt and paid it down to 466 million. On tract to earn $5 a share next year. Good profit and kept the expenses down and production and sales up.. Buying back shares and I hope no big company sees what I see with AEM and take it over.. I am buying more and hope the price goes down more so I can back up the trucks on AEM

$AEM Efficient miners! Been climbing for months. Took a large position earlier this week. They beat the earnings on all fronts. Hopefully gold opens good and the inflation report doesn’t dampen the momentum and earning pop tomorrow.
