$ACRE Heads up alert! Upcoming earnings on Wednesday, 11/7/2024 for $ACRE Bearish (2.5) Ares Commercial Real Estate Corporation (ACRE) is currently navigating a challenging landscape within the real estate investment trust (REIT) sector. Recent performance metrics indicate that ACRE is among the worst-performing REITs of 2024, reflecting a significant struggle to maintain investor confidence. Key financial indicators, including the price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio, are yet to be disclosed for the latest quarter; however, the company is expected to report its Q3 earnings on November 7, 2024, which could shed light on its current valuation relative to industry peers. The market is keenly awaiting these results given that ACRE's recent trajectory has not aligned favorably with sector trends, especially when compared to competitors like Ladder Capital (LADR), which recently exceeded earnings and revenue estimates significantly. In light of the upcoming earnings report, analysts are positioned to reassess ACRE’s earnings per share (EPS) growth and revenue forecasts, especially in the context of its historical performance. The consensus among analysts suggests that ACRE will need to deliver better-than-expected results to regain traction in the market. The anticipation surrounding the earnings call includes scrutiny over how the company has managed its portfolio and capital allocation in an environment marked by rising interest rates and fluctuating demand for commercial real estate. The company’s ability to outperform the dismal expectations set by its recent performance will be critical in determining future investor sentiment and stock valuation. ### Upcoming Earnings Report Summary Ares Commercial Real Estate Corporation is scheduled to report its third-quarter financial results on November 7, 2024. Analysts expect this forthcoming announcement to provide crucial insights into the company's operational performance and financial health amid a turbulent market. Historically, ACRE has struggled with consistent EPS growth, and the upcoming earnings will be pivotal in assessing whether it can reverse its current trajectory. The analyst consensus estimates are currently cautious, reflecting skepticism about the company’s ability to meet or exceed expectations given its recent classification among the worst performers in the REIT sector. The potential impact of these earnings on ACRE's stock price could be significant, as a failure to impress may exacerbate its current bearish trend, while a positive surprise could help stabilize and possibly bolster investor confidence. - Funds were net sellers of $ACRE during the previous reporting quarter. - Top 1 fund with large holdings in $ACRE: * Balyasny Asset Management LLC $7MM. $ACRE don’t know why this has been rising. I am holding a good sized position, so fine by me. I don’t average down unless there is a good reason to do so. I have not given up on them. Thus, I am still holding. 😊

$ACRE Ares Commercial assumed with a Neutral at BTIG BTIG assumed coverage of Ares Commercial with a Neutral rating. Commercial Mortgage REITs, or CmREITs, are down 32% since the end of the "easy-money-era" in early 2022, though the second wave of lower rate hopes has pushed the sector up 6.9% since the better-than-expected CPI print on July 11, the analyst tells investors in assuming coverage of the group. Yield matters more now than it has in the past 25 years and the mass retreat of traditional lenders from the commercial real estate space promises to expand the addressable market for cmREITs and alternative lenders, which leads to "an intriguing crossroads for the commercial real estate sector," the analyst tells investors in the assumption note.
