$UNIT Why did the merger talk news flow go dark...? Because they very likely can't get financing due to excessive debt levels... And it's also likely that UNIT is trying to jam Windstream bag holders (again) in the proposed deal, so Windstream is balking at the terms... Unit needs this deal waaaaay more than Windstream... All Windstream has to do is maintain the status quo, and they'll win the lawsuit and get a much better deal later-on from UNIT...

Are missing another glaring eventuality if such a misguided re-merger were to ever succeed... The dividend would be done... How's that for yet another cold slap of reality losers...? This is what zombie firms do when they just don't have the fundamentals to drive shareholder value... They start engaging in corporate dealmaking shenanigans to detract attention away from their failing businesses... This merger is just financial slight of hand for the galactically inept (like the pumpers in this thread)... The smart money already started dumping this POS, and by the time they're done, it'll be too late for small investors to eject... $UNIT What's the most serious red flag in corporate M&A...? Re-Mergers... These losers destoyed millions in equity selling Windstream off, only to turn around and waste millions more re-merging with it... Really...??? Is it not blatantly obvious that this is basically an admission that the sell-off of Windstream was a huge mistake...? Which is now going to be followed by an even bigger mistake...
