$SJT - recently received an email reply from investor relations regarding the Trust’s responsibility and an updated 10Q will be filed on November 14th. Further, The Trust is not obligated to reimburse Hilcorp for any excess production costs if future gross proceeds from subject interests are insufficient to cover those costs. This tells me that The Trust needs to know when to say when

$SJT There will very likely be no distribution well into 2026. Could be longer than that. Yes, I'm shorting this. I don't see any other way to make money on it at this price.

$SJT San Juan Basin Royalty Trust. ONRR Office of Natural Resources Revenue. Natural Gas Prices for the New Mexico San Juan Basin. The distributions are delayed by two months. So September Natural Gas prices affect November's earnings. There has not been a distribution in awhile and it looks to be getting worse. https://www.onrr.gov/indian/indian-pricing?tabs=indian-gas-index-zone&index_zone=San%20Juan%20Basin

I found you an Oversold RSI (Relative Strength Index) on the daily chart of San Juan Basin Royalty Trust. Is that bullish or bearish? $SJT #SJT #nyse #tradingsignals #technicalanalysis

$SJT I have the right to remain silent, but not the ability... I owned sjt a couple of years ago and when the math (hillcorp) did not work I sold everything. My question is; Why is this stock worth anything??

$SJT I was wrong. I was conflating SJT's termination with another trust. This is how it reads. "The Trust will generally terminate upon the first to occur of the following events: (i) at such time as the Trust’s gross revenue for each of two successive years is less than $1.0 million per year or (ii) the Unit Holders of at least 75% of all of the Units outstanding vote in favor of termination." https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/319655/000095017024096731/sjt_10-q_2024-06-30_no_x.htm

$SJT Why is it that there is not a total included each month. For how much the Trust owes the Sponsor? For such a small trust the amount is growing very fast. And I for one would like to see it.

$SJT I cannot see any reason for $SJT to move up. As each month goes by. The possibility of it never having a distribution again. Continues to increase. If things do not change drastically within the next 9-12 months. They will become hopelessly buried in debt until the Trust Terminates.

@WTXInvestor Other than the aggressive shorting before earnings. I don't know. My cost to short $SJT used to be a lot lower. Roughly 1/3rd of what it is now. But now that TDA has been bought. Holding a short position in $SJT is expensive. So after earnings there are a lot of people who need to buy to exit the trade. And there is a lot more urgency to get out from under the fees.

$SJT The loss on the month was nearly three times SJT's production revenue.

$SJT with all of this heat we are having. Natural gas production is still higher than demand. That is not a good sign. We should be seeing large drawdowns on storage. Not more injections. https://ir.eia.gov/ngs/ngs.html

@calculationdeviation I sold at $ 11.48 and warned everyone I could that $SJT was headed down. And every step of the way at this site and one other. People just like you. Have been saying just what you are saying. And all I have been saying is. Yea, but I would rather sell and buy back closer to $ 2.00 per share. But, thank you. People like you help me make lots of money. I love it when $SJT goes up when there is not going to be a distribution. It allows me the opportunity to make more money when it goes down.

$SJT as someone who shorts stocks that are way over priced. I have observed that with $SJT. Each month all available shares that can be shorted get shorted. So there has to be a whole load of buying to exit those short positions. And when that happens. There is a whole other group of people. Who think that it's the smart money buying in. And that they know something we don't. As someone who has had to buy roughly 20,000 shares yesterday. And I still need to buy 12.500 more. It's not because I think $SJT is going to go up. It's because I sold them at $ 5.00 per share. And now I have to buy them to exit the trade. When you are Long you Buy Low and Sell High. When you are Short you Sell High and Buy Low. So when it goes down I buy. Which helps everyone trying to sell their shares when they see what I saw months ago.
