$SGAMY Sega sells 'Company of Heroes' studio Relic Entertainment Sega has sold Relic Entertainment, a game developer behind the "Company of Heroes" and "Dawn of War" games. In a statement, Relic said that, with an external investor, it will become an independently-run development studio. "We want to thank Sega, whose support over the years and guidance during this transition have been instrumental to our success," the studio said. "We may be out of the Sega business, but we remain friends and colleagues."

$SGAMY Sega to cut 240 jobs across three studios, Gamesindustry.biz says In addition to selling Relic Entertainment, Sega intends to slash 240 jobs across Sega Europe, Creative Assembly, and Sega HARDLight, Gamesindustry.biz's Christopher Dring reports. The majority of the layoffs will be across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, though a "small number" will come from HARDLight, the author notes.

@snoops897 @Steinadilo Not needle moving at this point in time. BUT, if it is a meaningful toy line expansion of the oldschool SEGA IP…. its valuable to both companies. The $sgamy licensing deal was just signed, I am playing the long game with both companies. IP is the golden goose in this World of constant cross branding and promotion. Jakks is very well positioned in the pop culture and gaming Universe.

$JAKK ✅SEGA LICENSING DEAL RENEWAL ✅SONIC 3 confirmed ✅Preferred shares DONE ✅SMB sequel confirmed The licensing deal with $ntdoy for costumes is already confirmed, all we need now is the renewal for the Global toy rights which was signed in 2020 and is likely good until 2025ish. Yes JAKK is license reliant, BUT $sgamy and $ntdoy can carry the weight for this tiny float, micro cap stock. Sell off was severely overdone and the past few days news releases are adding fuel to the 🚀🚀🚀

$SGAMY 1. See the Massive Wedge 60% break to the up side if it breaks out of it. 40% to the down side, however its already at the bottom and no room really left. Egg man never wins, he just scares the animals! 2. See the channel it is in from 2016 3. See the upside it has ever 365 days from the low in that channel. 35-65%+ 4. New games & Movies this year!

@Jokerjoker They have some great IP but management has made terrible strategic decisions for a few years now. $JAKK hit a homerun by acquiring the licensing rights to two of the hottest gaming/pop culture franchises in the World, $SGAMY (Sonic) and $ntdoy (SMB).

Discovery's (WBD) latest video game release "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" was the number one physical seller in the U.K. last week in its debut, ahead of Sega's (SGAMY) "Persona 3 Reload," Gamesindustry.biz's Christopher Dring reports. The physical launch of the new DC Comics game was "slightly behind" that of Bandai Namco's (NCBDY) "Tekken 8" but ahead of Sony's (SONY) "The Last of Us Part II Remastered," which both launched in January, Dring notes.

According to a California WARN notice, the U.S. division of Sega Sammy will lay off 61 employees on March 8, 2024, the author notes.

$NTDOY haven’t added more Nintendo shares since last post, however I did purchase a small amount of Sega’s $SGAMY today, 100 shares for an initial entry point. Didn’t even realize that was an option to invest in SEGA until today lol. Anyone else buying SEGA shares? There’s less than 200 people watching it on Stocktwits. Grew up playing both systems. $SGAMY Very cheap compared to other Japanese gaming/media stocks. Cheaper in terms of price to sale/price to earnings/ and book value.
