$POST Heads up alert! Only one day until Upcoming earnings on Thursday, 11/14/2024 for $POST Neutral (5.5) Post Holdings (NYSE: POST) is preparing to release its Q4 earnings report, with several key financial metrics drawing attention from investors. The company has experienced fluctuations in performance across its segments, particularly within Post Consumer Brands, which is expected to showcase resilience, while the Refrigerated Retail unit may show signs of weakness. Analysts are forecasting a P/E ratio around 15, suggesting that the stock is fairly valued in relation to its earnings growth potential. Earnings Per Share (EPS) growth is projected at 5% year-over-year, which, while modest, indicates stability in a competitive environment. Revenue forecasts for the upcoming quarter hover around $1.5 billion, reflecting a slight increase compared to previous quarters. When benchmarked against industry peers, POST appears to be on par with average growth rates, although concerns regarding segment-specific challenges could impact overall investor sentiment. Looking ahead to the upcoming earnings report scheduled for November 15, 2024, expectations are mixed. Analysts project a revenue figure that aligns with the lower end of the spectrum due to anticipated challenges in the Refrigerated Retail segment. Historical performance shows that Post has often exceeded earnings expectations, which may provide a cushion for the stock. The consensus estimates suggest an EPS of $0.85, with analysts divided on the potential for exceeding this figure. The overall sentiment appears cautiously optimistic, but the performance in key segments will likely dictate investor reaction post-earnings. Analysts are keenly observing these results, as they could have significant implications for the stock's trajectory in the coming months. - Funds were net buyers of $POST during the previous reporting quarter. - Here are some of the funds with a sizable holdings (as of Q3 of 2024) for $POST: * Route One $539MM. @DeanFoody @Goosey71 HPAI won’t have near the impact on $VITL as it will on a $CALM or Michael Foods owned by $POST. $VITL egg farms are smaller and not as concentrated as larger commercial layers. The risk is not as consolidated. That’s not to say that it can’t happen though. If anything HPAI infections on large commercial layer stocks helps drive the price of eggs up.

Post also affirmed its non-GAAP Adjusted EBITDA guidance for fiscal year 2024. Michael Foods' third-party contracted egg-laying flocks in Minnesota and Iowa tested positive for avian influenza. $POST Post Holdings backs FY24 Adjusted EBITDA view of $1.335B-$1.375B Post management affirmed its outlook for fiscal year 2024 Adjusted EBITDA of $1,335-$1,375 million, as Post management believes the related financial impact is within the tolerances of the range. The guidance range does not incorporate a significant expansion of avian influenza within Post's network, the impact of which is uncertain. The APHIS division of the USDA and individual states track and report individual incidents of avian influenza. Post does not expect to provide additional updates on specific incidents unless the cumulative effect of subsequent incidents exceeds an additional 5% of Post's controlled supply.
