$OCN maybe they can sell to COOP at a discount to book but much higher than where we are now. Would be immediately accretive to their valuation given the difference in p/b.

$OCN good questions/answers Bose George : Yes, just the expected, sort of the way to think about the return on that, either ROE return on the asset or you just ways to think about the return from that deal? Sean O’Neil: We haven’t disclosed any returns yet because we are waiting for the deal to close and receive final valuation on both the assets and the preferred, but we expect that it will be a strong return, as I mentioned it is both accretive to cash and earnings per share. Bose George : Okay. Great. Thank you. Glen Messina: Bose, maybe to help you frame that a little bit. As we think about target returns and yields that we are seeing in the marketplace generally, GSE MSRs are probably in the 9% to 10% range, Ginnie Mae’s in the 11% to 12% range. And your reverse servicing tends to be a little bit higher than Ginnie’s around 12% to 13%. So that is how we see the economics based on our economic modeling assumptions.

$OCN Debt to equity is way down as of quarter end and should drop more when MAV and financing loses. Should be good, we are gun shy though.

$OCN For me, the price of around $30 is a tactic. Who is interested in it? Who manages to set this hurdle again and again?

$OCN As long as Long Focus, Deer Park and Blackrock keep quiet and don't saw at Glen's chair, Oaktree will be happy about the high interest rates and brokerage fees from ONIT. I am still puzzled as to how he is allowed to run this company with his past performance, but apparently the big investors are ‘satisfied’ It would take a committed (aggressive) investor (who is not in the Lala cloud) to finally bring some movement and innovation to the business

$OCN Pricing on the new notes equals the weighted average pricing on the old notes. Net no real change in interest rates.

$OCN what does COOPs earnings portend for ONIT? We usually lag so hopefully a trend reversal.

$OCN The RITM portfolio has been in liquidation mode for a long time. While we would like to keep it, doesn’t look like it would be a serious problem to lose it now. In the past it was a significant part of our business.

$OCN Even if everything goes well in this quarter, Glen is always good for a negative surprise, whether it is building up reserves as a precaution or simply extending the contract early on, perhaps there would have been financing options outside of Oaktree

$OCN ... what shell we do with the drunken sailor ONIT? Up and down and something hidden who doesn't want the share to rise significantly...? Is the company being polished for sale?

$OCN My eyes glazed over halfway thru the restructuring PR. Lots of unknowns that will need to be clarified at the earnings release and call. The debt still needs to be refinanced so we don't know the cost yet. Definitely sounds like deleveraging and move to lower cost debt which are positives net of lower MSR book revenues. I still think that the bigger effect for Q3 and Q4 will be the mortgage refinancings and secondly, how the MSR book performed net of hedges.

$OCN The volume looks like someone was building a position and bid up with low volume normally. For the quarter, it is a good thing that ONIT and other mortgage servicers hedged and most likely overhedged. MSR writedowns will be largely and maybe more than offset with hedging gains. This recent qtr and the 4Q should see the origination biz providing nice profits with strong recapture.

$OCN all the people here that complain about the stock price, here is a golden chance to hit a bid. I'm trying to buy a couple puts at a reasonable price to hedge but I doubt I get filled.

$OCN even if I have been disillusioned for years and have sold off more than 50 %, there is still hope that the $60 can be reached by the end of 2025 at the latest, profits should finally increase with the changes of the last very hard and drastic years and the portfolio including the interest rate cuts (HOPEFULLY !) should also arouse interest among new investors.
