$JWN sold all remaining shares at $22.85. It was a nice ride. One I hope to repeat when the board rejects the Nordstom buyout.

$AMZN $BA $JWN $UBER The United States particularly in California the Governing officials refuse to tackle the social justice pleading for Worker rights for employment to remain a right for working individuals being let go of a job by management of the workforce. Inherent abilities to remove a member of any establishment without justifiable cause to say the least.

$JWN My bf said someone ought to sue management. How can they make a low buyout offer and keep the poison pill takeover defense in place? Does that not sound and look like a conflict? "A poison pill takeover defense is generally not effective when management makes a buyout offer because the purpose of a poison pill is to deter hostile takeovers, and when management is actively pursuing a buyout, it is considered a friendly transaction, effectively negating the need for the poison pill's defensive mechanism."

$JWN will go back to 20-23$ range till we hear something about buyout. Either decline or accept 23$ offer or something higher. Its just stuck till news of it comes out unfortunately.

$JWN "Nordstrom Rack is set to open its first store in Omaha on October 24, 2024." ... Um ... left out Berkshire Hathaway ... fits the Buffett model of buying companies with management already in place!

$JWN My bf is telling me the insiders aren't going to get a deal at anything close to $23 because the company was buying back stock in 2022 and 2023 for as much as $22.95.* A company wouldn't buy back their own stock unless they thought it was undervalued, right? Makes sense to me! *10/28/2023 Form 10-Q: "Share Repurchases [figures in '000s] In May 2022, our Board of Directors authorized a program to repurchase up to $500 of our outstanding common stock, with no expiration date. We repurchased 0.03 shares of common stock for $1 at an average purchase price per share of $19.41 during the nine months ended October 28, 2023, compared with 2.3 shares for $53 at an average purchase price per share of $22.95 during the nine months ended October 29, 2022, and had $438 remaining in share repurchase capacity as of October 28, 2023."

$JWN Whole Foods charges about 300% of what the stuff is worth and you can't even get a parking place. Let AMZN acquire JWN and this will be a $50 equivalent value in no time. So if Amazon pays $35/share for JWN, it's huge value for them!

$JWN Here's the mythical updated values: • Family - offers to throw in coupon for a free lemonade at a company cafe, bringing value to $23.25. • Private equity - no synergies result, so the most they would go is probably $27.50. • Other stores like Target - maybe a little cost savings result, make it $28. • Amazon - huge synergies. Offers $35 cash or stock (take your choice) and done!

$JWN Here's more from the fictional Netflix series called "Flash Mob Robbery - Corporate Version": In the merger negotiations, AMZN says, "Hope you don't take offense, but everyone agrees that "Amazon Prime" is a much better name than "Nordy Club"!

$JWN We don't know what is going on, but in the fictional Netflix series called "Flash Mob Robbery - Corporate Version" - that's where the insiders plan to rob the shareholders and snatch their stock at $23 - a secretary is messaging "AMZN just left ... couldn't tell much."
