$JMIA takeaways from Dufay’s presentation yesterday: 1) Jumia is uniquely designed for the african consumer, to serve africans in a challenging macro environment w/Affordability and reliability 2) Not lacking demand. Focused on securing supply not demand (cannot be overstated) 3) Logistics ecosystem is a huge asset for jumia. Outsourced a lot of the work with locals in a cost efficient way. No competitor can replicate or use them the way Jumia does. 4) Ending two year phase of restructuring and entering a growth phase The question is not if but when, according to Duffay, referring to double digit growth. Seeing impact already. Repurchase rates are increasing, and customers are more loyal. 6) Competitors do not have the same competitive advantages with value propositions. 7) Goal moving forward is to massively increase the customer base. Customers are becoming less cash on delivery, varies by market, no rush to end cash on delivery, focus primarily on retaining and growing customers
