@SoftwarePhil that is a good dividend and might get in just for the dividend but that is always a tough game to play. I thought I recognized the ticker and used to play with $IFN about 4-5 years ago. Thanks for all your suggestions as you do have good ideas!

User Image SoftwarePhil Posted - 4 days ago

@LVStrader Interesting... Have you explored $IFN ? It has a nice dividend going ex-div 11/21 for .93... pays quarterly dividends.

$IFN adding at these prices.

@howardlindzon how do you invest in India? Through $IFN ?

User Image rsmracks Posted - 2 weeks ago

$GOLD $NEM $IFN $SILJ $SLV India is building a huge position in gold and silver. This article doesn’t mention how much silver India has been accumulating the last decade. They’ve literally bought over 1 billion ounces. The last few years they have been buyers of 30+% of all silver mined. Huge amounts of precious metals continue to be delivered to India. While the Chinese have been in a recession for multiple years now, they haven’t stopped accumulating gold and silver either. Prices aren’t going down, that’s for sure. Don’t stop accumulating physical or especially miners. The earnings will come. https://m.jpost.com/business-and-innovation/precious-metals/article-827244

$INDA $PIN $EPI $IFN Got whacked. Fell out of channel, all of these did, as you can see on any finviz chart of em Mean reversion? Will we recover? I think some money being taken out to go to China and other emerging markets funds, and some of it is moderating growth in India making valuations harder to stomach

https://www.aol.com/finance/jamie-dimon-thinks-india-china-105456491.html $IFN $INDA As I’ve been saying for many years, India will be the fastest growing emerging market for the next 30 years. As each year passes their middle class will increase. This will generate more GDP and drive earnings for companies that take market share away from China. India will also require more infrastructure as they grow. That will drive demand for more mined materials. Commodities remain strong for the next 20 years.

User Image rsmracks Posted - 09/25/24

$IFN $VWO $INDA As I’ve mentioned for 2+ years, the growth in India will be steady for the next 30 years. India has the fastest growing middle class in the world. https://m.economictimes.com/news/economy/policy/why-is-the-world-so-bullish-on-indias-economy/amp_articleshow/113628614.cms

$EPI $SMIN I like $IFN. That discount to NAV will narrow

User Image Eyore Posted - 2 months ago

$IFN $PIN $EWU What's wild to me is not the India GDP rise. Rather, it's the peaking of UK GDP. Especially compared to US GDP. Whatever happened to UK growth? Guess the colonized is catching up to colonizer 😜

$EOT $EVT I reentered. Price basically where it was months ago. Good international and broadening US market catchup trade Mostly I like straight indices. But I do think these CEFs have a place. The deep discount can narrow, the distribution is good, and I like the active management. These also have bond allocations I also $IFN $BME for same discount yet to close and great tailwinds

$VXUS $VEU Finally sold today in favor of $IQLT $EWX and EVT and ETO as well as array of emerging market ones $IFN and MXF and EWZ So now dollar will collapse and these will go to the moon, I'm sure. Just my luck lol

$IFN NAV vs price chart for IFN Due to botched rights offering, collapsed price. NAV keeps moving upward and onward. As do Indian ETFs it mostly mirrors in holdings $INDA $PIN Buy. Hold. At peak, IFN was at 16 percent PREMIUM to NAV earlier this year 🤯 $IIF

$SMIN wow. What a move off bottom. I underestimated it $EPI sold too early Now riding with $IFN Look at the CEF connect page to see just how much catching up with NAV It got to do. $IIF in sync with NAV

$IFN this looks amazing. Even as its NAV hits ATH and other India CEF $IIF, this hasn't. Has a lot of catching up to do https://www.cefconnect.com/fund/IFN Sold $EPI but I'm in here

User Image FLAFOREVER Posted - 5 months ago

$IFN Added 1,200 shares. At these prices I keep adding, 7% discount to NAV, 10-12% div, a no brainer.

User Image CrocksAndPonds Posted - 5 months ago

$IFN Added some yesterday in the wife's IRA, long term play as the world looks to move from China, India is the place to go, and a future economic power. There will be bumps in the road, always are, but patience will be rewarded if you are a long term income investor. Younger folk may also like $IIF, pays a nice yearly div. Set and forget, reinvest divs, collect nice in retirement.
