The only shortfall is their design team only designed 22nm, lacking advanced node design hands on experience, like 3nm and current 2nm node. It is not a huge hurdle. $HIMX you have it right. It’s just a vehicle for insiders to get a fat payday with the dividend once a year, to avoid to pay taxes or pay just a little (smart on that part), but nothing else. WU supposedly was a Banker, but, I think that was a lie. A smart banker that wasted money on a new building (he said they desperately needed the space because business was booming) and after that started oblivion because business never materialized. That said, a real banker when interest rate were basically 0 would have taken a loan to rebuy shares in the open market (not to gift them back to employees) but taking them out of the float and stock price would have been appreciated more than the capital+interest they needed to pay on the loan. What about taking a very simple decision: instead of paying 70% of previous year EPS as dividend (to enrich themselves) paying only 50% as dividend and the other 20% to buyback shares. Naaaaaa they like to rob retail sh’s like many on this board
