@TurnaroundMD guys, don’t argue with this guy. Him and I have been in $FLR for years to get a piece of nuscale, years before SMR went public. I’ve spent my entire career in commercial nuclear as well and paper projects don’t appease to large utilities/stakeholders. Point is, rather than argue with emotion I would listen to this man and his years of DD on this industry, there is no fluff or speculation in the facts he states. And again, this is not bashing innovation, it’s necessary, but they all have a long way’s to go

@Nakuldesai They are all overvalued which is why I own $FLR. But at least $SMR has a license to actually build a reactor $NNE and $OKLO haven't even submitted an application the the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. This process took NuScale a decade to complete and that was with a somewhat conventional design. $NNE and $Oklo are proposing major leaps in technology and while I applaud them for that it also increases the risk massively. Either way, SMR has a huge lead.

User Image TurnaroundMD Posted - 1 week ago

$SMR There are two types of SMR companies right now. Those with an NRC license (NuScale) and those with ideas on paper $OKLO $GE $NNE in any case I own $FLR to limit my downside and still participate in the Nuclear resurgence.

$KULR KULR Technology Group Inc. has developed proprietary carbon fiber cathodes for integration into small modular reactors (SMRs) within laser-based nuclear fusion systems. These cathodes are designed to withstand extreme conditions, leveraging KULR's experience in aerospace and defense applications. The company has announced a collaboration with a PROMINENT NUCLEAR FUSION COMPANY to implement these custom cathodes in their SMR designs. However, specific details about the partner company have not been publicly disclosed. This partnership aims to advance the development of affordable and reliable nuclear fusion energy, addressing the growing global demand for sustainable energy solutions. My guess is it's Longview Fusion Energy Systems, which has partnered with $FLR to build the world's first commercial nuclear fusion plant. Or maybe Xcimer, which is also doing very big things.

@jimy1111 @TurnaroundMD $FLR already sold. Recognizing a $1.6B gain in q4. Buying back their stock. Low debt. Read the earnings. Also pretty sure they are going to build the Mexico wall FWIW but I think $FLR nuclear know how will prove invaluable.

@jimy1111 Thanks, I agree with you people should focus on ideas not insults. You may like my YouTube channel. We share the same conclusion that Oklo and SMR are basically not worthy of investing at the moment. $FLR is the way. https://youtu.be/irJ6-G0Sjh4

User Image TurnaroundMD Posted - 11/26/24

@jimy1111 I agree with you on the FOMO side of things. Just more or less arguing against a short position in SMR. Also for the record $FLR has built Nuclear reactors before albeit it's been a long time. As for GE PWR vs NuSclae LWR, you said it yourself Natural gas plants are easier to build. NuScales LWR uses a number of off-the-shelf components from Natural gas plants which gives some economies of scale benefits. Not to mention the reactor Vessel will be fabricated in a factory. The large PWRs that Westing House and GE build require too much custom fabrication. As far as that story goes the NuScale SMR's are better than the existing fleet. Also I do think I should point out that the NuScale SMR is a simplified version of the existing reactors we have aboard Nuclear Submarines. So to a degree there are real world proof of concepts. https://www.fluorconstructors.com/project-experience/project-details-callaway

@kodiak13 @GOAME @SmallNuclearReactors Thanks for the support! I need to work on my production quality but I'm hoping to build a brand here. The goal is to land an interview with exec's from $FLR/$SMR/$DXC but I have a lot of work to do before then.

User Image TurnaroundMD Posted - 11/26/24

@jimy1111 Yes $SMR is probably overvalued but I don't see $FLR selling as a risk because it won't be on the open market. Fluor has repeatedly said that they've found an investor and they've hinted that the investor is a major data center customer. If that's true then I wouldn't be surprised if they get paid a premium for their SMR sale and the announcement that Google/AWS/MSFT has bought a non-dilutive stake in SMR will cause the stock to rise since NuScale will have a new path to market.

User Image jimy1111 Posted - 11/26/24

@Vision2024 $FLR holds more than 50% of $SMR. Once they sell all $FLR will have more in cash than market value.

User Image Vision2024 Posted - 11/26/24

$SMR the slippery slope of excessive valuation and the overhang of the $flr shares is here

User Image jimy1111 Posted - 11/26/24

$SMR This is worst than $SAVA. $FLR holds more than 50% of the share count in class B share. They will be selling it starting next quarter. I would not buy unless you want lose money and become bag holder. Short $SMR and long $FLR is the trade.

$FLR these Dec 20 $52 Calls are lovely

User Image TurnaroundMD Posted - 4 weeks ago

$FLR's stake in Nuscale ($SMR) is almost worth $4 Billion. That's almost twice FLR's book value. Thus it stands to reason that Fluor's book value will at least double overnight simply by de-consolidating NuScale and selling some of its stake. Perhaps even more if a hyperscaler does buy the Nuscale equity from them.
