Companhia Paranaense de Energia - COPEL engages in the generation, transformation, distribution, and sale of electricity to industrial, residential, commercial, rural, and other customers in Brazil. The company operates through Power Generation and Transmission, Power Distribution, GAS, Power Sale, and Holding and Services segments. It is also involved in the piped natural gas distribution. The company operates hydroelectric, wind, and thermoelectric plants; and owns and operates transmission and distribution lines. It holds concessions to distribute electricity in municipalities in the State of Paraná and in the municipality of Porto União in the State of Santa Catarina. Companhia Paranaense de Energia COPEL was founded in 1954 and is headquartered in Curitiba, Brazil.

@Witcher_82 there's a lot of manipulation in Brazilian stocks and im used to it. Generally it is the government thats doing it. $elp for an example. I just find it suspect with pags and stone but no word on nubank's failed crypto coin.

$STNE Brazilian stocks are generally manipulated. Like whoever said on here thsts how we make our money. You just have to be aware of whatever tactic Theyre using. $elp for an example. They thought it was a good idea to do a stock split at $7 to $1.25 during a c suit shake up. Never made sense and i shorted the hell out of it to a $1. Then they did a RS and paid out divvy of almost a dollar. The stock nosedived to sub 4 and then skyrocketed back to 7-8 range and has stayed there ever since and became my bread and butter with divvy. Im looking to buy again aa its cheap again. Just dont overthink it and stick to whatever you think is right.

$ELP Copel initiated with a Buy at Goldman Sachs Goldman Sachs initiated coverage of Copel with a Buy rating and $10.10 price target. The analyst says Brazil utilities are trading at an attractive average valuation with a "meaningful opportunity" for capex deployment at attractive returns, especially in power distribution. Recently privatized companies Eletrobras and Copel have the possibility of delivering cost cuts and portfolio optimization, driving higher dividends in the upcoming year, the analyst tells investors in a research note.

$ELP Can’t find any news. ELP dropped nearly -20%, but it’s only showing that it lost a few cents today on Stocktwits and ADR.com. Almost like it paid a dividend? Can anyone share any insight?
