@idninacapital $ASO will whiff earnings on weaker top-line results. They will lower guidance to at least the low end of their prior annual earnings range.

$DKS $ASO We decided to initiate position in $ASO this afternoon by purchasing common stock between $46.35 and $46.45 along with ASO April 2025 $47.50 call options. Although we would normally wait until after the EF next week, we believe that $ASO will beat expectations and provide stronger than expected guidance, resulting in a pop back into the low 50 range. Therefore, we believe it is prudent to take advantage of these lower levels and initiate a small position prior to ER. If, for some reason, $ASO trades lower post-ER, we will either build position or terminate small position depending on management's forward guidance. If $ASO trends higher, then we will leverage the current position to average up. Given the divergence between $ASO and $DKS, we believe that either $DKS is significantly overvalued, $ASO is significantly undervalued, or both. We will find out more after they announce earnings shortly.

$ASO Realistic 50% upside from these levels in 12 months or less imo. That wouldn’t even be a 52 week high. Could easily be $55+ with good ER by EOY. Plus my buddy bought an $800 bike there today, so that should help. 😂

$ASO Academy Sports & outdoors just triggered a buy signal after being on our radar for the past 3 months. We will be evaluating our initial entry over the next few days and will post our position. In spite of significant economic headwinds, we believe that $ASO offers a compelling value in the low 40s compared to its peers including $DKS and others in the sporting goods market. While this doesn't mean that $ASO won't fall further (additional capitulation is possible), the risk/reward scenario is favorable at a price point in the low 40 range.
