About AerSale Corporation

AerSale Corporation provides aftermarket commercial aircraft, engines, and its parts to passenger and cargo airlines, leasing companies, original equipment manufacturers, and government and defense contractors, as well as maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) service providers worldwide. It operates in two segments, Asset Management Solutions and Technical Operations (TechOps). The Asset Management Solutions segment engages in the sale and lease of aircraft, engines, and airframes, as well as disassembly of these assets for component parts. The TechOps segment provides internal and third-party aviation services, including internally developed engineered solutions, heavy aircraft maintenance and modification, and component MRO, as well as end-of-life disassembly services. This segment provides aircraft modifications, cargo and tanker conversions of aircraft, and aircraft storage; and MRO services for landing gear, thrust reversers, hydraulic systems, and other aircraft components. The company was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida.

$ASLE saw some chatter on SA about the flights possibly being for European regulatory approval of Aeraware. My question is, why would European regulators fly to CA to do test flights? Also saw speculation it would be for a potential customer in RyanAir… that seems more feasible but again, I’m not sure why they’d come all the way to CA for those demo flights. You’d think if they needed to be stateside they’d meet somewhere on the east coast? Just my 2 cents, maybe there’s a reasonable answer, idk.

$ASLE With ASLE stock cratering I decided to read NINGI's short report from 11/2023. While his short call on the stock proved to be correct and profitable his basis for the collapse of share price appears to be completely wrong in most of his statements. Surprisingly what he used as a major point for AerAware failing was a report by the FAA. I just read the entire report and it actually described in detail how incredibly important HWD and EFVS is. If you don’t want to read the entire report the conclusion is on page 55. Interested what others think after reading it. $ASLE this is an ideal stock for shorts to control. With sentiment understandably bad (after missing numbers, pulling forward guidance and zero news on AerAware) and public float % so small with small daily trading volume, and short interest so high, share price does not reflect the business value accurately IMO. Shorts are in total control, artificially (and temporarily) depressing share price until something major happens to flip sentiment, ie an AerAware order. Important to me is insider and Institutional ownership is very high and stable. Most of LGP’s recent 4mm share disposal was picked up by 3 strong firms: Citadel (1.5mm), Morgan Stanley (1.35mm) and Ranger (829k). I’m going to follow those in-the-know rather than daily low volume share price manipulation. Insiders and big money could be wrong but there is a much higher chance they’re right.

$ASLE of mgmt silence about the highly touted aeraware “launch customer”. Seeing the plane up at least provides some optimism they’re working on it still. Would be nice if they actually communicated to their shareholders and gave updates on what they’re doing. E.g. test plane is now being utilized as a training platform, or test plane is collecting data to build simulator training program, etc…
