$VZ So parent company Comcast $CMCSA says they value their broadband business at 12x multiple. Explain to me then we Verizon trades so far below when the market price is 12? At that multiple on forward earnings (with an A+ profitability index) at the midpoint of $4.60 then we should have a $55.20 stock just at norms. Plus a dividend yield of over 6%. This looks like a layup.

@Cash_loot You seem to lack reading comprehension. Nowhere does the post say Buffet has $VZ stock. The article refers to the style of investment Buffet practices. Which, since you seem clueless is called "value investing." The article merely why $VZ is a good opportunity for investment. Buying and selling stocks just because Buffet does isn't investing, it's being a mindless copycat. It's the ability to spot good value and think for yourself that makes for good investments. That article was posted to give people information to do that.

Food and beverage stocks, utilities, drug stocks, because no matter what happens people don't stop buying those goods or services. As a tel com $VZ is in that space. @dayandswing22 They did cut the dividend and they also put most their debt into WBD and spun it off. I know I held it then and still have it. If you didn't sell WBD immediately and still hold it you're not even back to break even. That said buying T now is a good dividend investment, but as I said, if you owned it pre-split and kept WBD you've still got a way to go. Long $T $WBD $VZ
