$OUST The Baidu-Waymo dynamic reflects the broader competitive divide between China and the U.S. in autonomous driving. While the U.S. often prioritizes technological excellence and regulatory caution, China’s approach leans heavily on speed, scale, and cost efficiency. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/daniel-abreu-marques-_baidu-apollos-30k-robotaxi-a-wake-up-activity-7266027716838133761-6SjW

$OUST Can anyone beat Waymo? Not even Tesla seems anywhere near. The company is racing ahead with its fleet of robotaxis wow-ing SF visitors with their smooth (and silent) rides. It raised another $5B+ just last month to expand into new cities, partnered with Hyundai to get more cars and with Uber to get more users, while it keeps investing in improving its tech using genAI. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/thomassineau_autonomousdriving-robitaxi-activity-7266071743243456512-UbbP

$OUST The Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) expects a breakthrough in autonomous driving soon. "In 2026, or 2027 at the latest, self-driving robo-buses will be on the road in the first cities in Germany and transporting passengers," said KBA President Richard Damm to the "Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung". Hamburg, for example, could manage to have around 10,000 shuttle buses on the streets by 2030. https://www-spiegel-de.translate.goog/auto/kraftfahrt-bundesamt-erwartet-schon-bald-breiten-einsatz-von-robo-bussen-a-a5df2fad-5ce9-481f-a449-8e8de8c67f81?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en

$OUST Behind every race win is the power of data!🏁🏍️📊🔴 The Lenovo self-driving robot, equipped with LiDAR sensors, collects massive amounts of data to create digital twins of MotoGP circuits. This innovation allows Ducati engineers to make precise adjustments to their bikes, leading to incredible performance on race day. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/shafizzadshahudan_motogp-data-lidar-activity-7265886105281916928-JajL

$OUST The thing is OUST is in a position of strength against competition in auto even without an “announced” partner. They already have high product margins and no debt, so they can beat on price (low ball) against competition. If DF sensors outperform on specs then it’s another huge edge for potential contract wins.

$INVZ $OUST If we exclude financials, how do INVZ and OUST compare from the quality of their products perspective? Is there room in the market for both to succeed, so that we'll end up with two or more LiDAR companies just like we have multiple car companies?

$OUST PT $23 is very reasonable, given all of the forthcoming business from the likes of Amazon, May Mobility, Hyundai's Motional and Boston Dynamics, Serve Robotics, and all of the other 1,000+ customers. Moreover, the roll-out of Ouster Automotive DF Series digital LiDAR sensor-suite is expected for 1H2025. We shall see.

$OUST $AMZN $IWM $TXN Nice to see technical traders showing up now... For anyone new here who has not been following Ouster; I think this record order from what we understand to be for Amazon's Proteus robot was a highlight in the last ER: "During the quarter, we received the largest purchase order in Ouster’s history, with a leading global technology company. This customer is upgrading to REV7 for its autonomous mobile robots, enabling them to operate flexibly in a dynamic environment. Powered by REV7, these robots alleviate the need for employees to move carts weighing almost 1,000 pounds, helping this customer with its goal to improve workplace productivity, while reducing stress and injury."

$OUST There being buyers was to be expected after the Q3ER: "Finally, we continue to execute on our path to profitability. Since the first quarter of 2023, we have expanded our gross margin from negative 2% to 38% and have reached our target of 35% to 40%. We are continuing to improve the execution of the business and look forward to delivering on the other two parts of our long-term framework; one, achieving 30% to 50% annual revenue growth and two, maintaining a low-cost structure. In summary, our execution was strong in the third quarter and we added a number of features that further strengthened our product portfolio.

$OUST There are a lot of good people who wanted Lidar to succeed and poured into $LAZR, $INVZ, $MVIS, $AEVA. The landscape has changed, have a look at the most successful company to date, that is front running today, out of Western names. Take a look at this presentation. https://investors.ouster.com/events-and-presentations/presentations/default.aspx

$OUST Looking to take a position somewhere over 50% of that big green candle, around 9.50. If it can trade over that, with volume , it should head towards next resistance. It's 1:30 and looking at the minute chart, I don't see much happening the rest of the day, so even if it breaks 1st resistance, it's a nothingburger today. I don't want to take a position on waning volume. Probably close between 1.43-1.53 today. Have a terrific weekend.

$LAZR Luminar story was over long time ago but many people were fooled by scammers. Earlier this year, I predicted Luminar's massive layoff and 50 cents stock price. All the Luminar fans should now seriously take a look at $OUST that has become the leader of the western LiDAR companies a few quarters ago. Ouster is your only chance to get back the money lost on $lazr . It's true that many Ouster investors are still in red but the growth of the company is steady with over 1000 customers and the future is guaranteed with the largest order in the company's history from Amazon. Still not too late to hop on as we are hovering below $10 but trust me we are going to $20 by Christmas. If you believe there will be at least one LiDAR company that can survive and beat the Chinese, it is Ouster.

$OUST Wow... imagine if other governors were as proactive as Texas on investment. (If I missed any other states making this stance, please correct, I'm interested to know. I know HI, IL, and TX have banned further land or real estate purchases by China.) While I consider Russia to not be a threat, Biden is just bungling the situation with bad policy, China is a threat. It's a threat to entrepreneurship as they use their population as a bargaining piece to capture IP. As far as military, they are just doing what the U.S. has done over it's existence. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/texas-governor-orders-state-agencies-073554029.html
