$NXST Locals have a ton to benefit with an all Republican congress and executive branch. The FCC leadership sets the timeline for ATSC 1.0 sunset as well as approves duopoly waivers. If the government manages to pass some legislation requiring big tech to follow the same rules as MVPD's (must carry rules) or lifts ownership caps, the local media stocks will fly. Way more upside than downside in this sector, especially with cord cutting showing signs of slowing in Q3.

We delivered the highest third quarter net revenue in the Company's history, comprised of record third quarter distribution and advertising revenue, including all-time high third quarter political advertising revenue of $154 million, up 16% over the comparable 2020 period. During the quarter, we made further progress on our strategy for The CW, reducing operating losses by $36 million year-over-year and by $119 million year-to-date. We debuted NASCAR Xfinity Series racing in September and WWE NXT wrestling in October on The CW broadcast network to double-digit percentage increases both in total audience and in adults 18-49 versus previous viewership on cable. Overall, our strong year-to-date operating performance yielded $792 million of Adjusted Free Cash Flow and we returned $590 million, or 74%, to shareholders in the form of dividends and share repurchases and reduced debt by $146 million."

@SanKish Even worse is when you look at industry peers. $NXST is basically flat the past 6 months. $SBGI, which has gone through hell with the whole Diamond Sports debacle the past year, is up 33% in the same period. $NXST 1 year is 22%, $SBGI 64%.

$NXST Every stock in my portfolio has gone up in last 3-4 weeks, except this one. Even loser tickers like Cathy Wood's ark etfs have moved up. What a pathetic mgmt NXST has, when they keep selling their own stock when it moves up by 5 bucks.

@ranthor I don’t know, but $NXST bounces between the mid $180s and the mid $150s over the last few years… I’m an investor and focused on their cash flow and the potential where the might be in 3-5 years. But they are in a rapidly changing industry, so I view it as high risk, high reward.
