$MTTR how these types of deals are taxed on our gains. If you sell now with gain, that's obviously taxed per your gain but If you hold and deal closes would you be taxed on the gain from the cash receipts only or the stocks you receive as well? What is the best practice here? Is there even a better practice from the gain tax perspective?

$MTTR Today is day 4! Is it safe to say that most shareholders that wanted to cash in the gains have already did that and whoever is left is waiting for 5.5 or even more ? That's the feeling i am getting after comparing volumes

$MTTR Anyone has a solid reason why this merge could not happen ? ( not interested in your feelings, just facts from past experiences) It seems that both companies have cash just in case. MTTR has no debt. Less employees now. The GOV don't care about some small cap stock that does home pictures merging. Both companies already did merge before and have experiences ( MTTR did a SPAC merge). Management and some big investors already voted. Is there anything?

$MTTR the whole market is down big and I don’t know where to park my money. I’d like a safe and guaranteed 15% return in the near future. Anyone have any recommendations?

@SebastianMTTR @arribaStocktrading @FUmttrWUSSY @socaldan92 I'm still inside deciding what I'm going to do. If anyone has a company in mind with the growth potential that $MTTR had, please share it with us, because right now I don't really know what to do with my saved money. I only have the doubt of whether this is the masterstroke of RJ, helped by his best client Costar Group, to lift the $MTTR stock from the bottom where it had fallen and finally in a few months with the market already calmer it does not occur the sale. Although I rather think that the lawsuit they have filed for illegal administration and a multimillion-dollar secured job at Costar Group may have been the cause of the agreement.

@FUmttrWUSSY @arribaStocktrading @SebastianMTTR @socaldan92 Totally agree with everyone here. I think after the surprise we all looked stupid, because of the dirty trick they played on us. We will all agree, except @FUmttrWUSSY who has bought several houses thanks to $MTTR 😂, that the stomach pain of the last 2 years is not worth $5.50 at all, that would be obtained only for an annual profit of 50 million and at least I think this could have gone to $100 in about 8-10 years. Everything smells very bad here RJ.

$INDI It’s really going to piss everyone off when they sell for 7.50 a share. It won’t be what you think …sadly it will likely be under $10…just like $MTTR. Donald was and has always been a used car salesman. Protect yourself and average down now IMO.

$MTTR We have been played: 1) Barely 3 years out on the market - massive TAM. Arguably, it is one of the largest in our little sphere, and we get taken out from all-time lows. 2) Massive, Illegal SBC distribution amounting to between 25k and 50k a month for upper management while retaining 100% or more of their actual share count. 3) Relentless sell-side algorithm for years. We now know CoStar was likely behind that. MTTR management could have been part of this and just part of the overall end-game strategy. Again, it's no coincidence that this occurs from all-time lows a Q or two before rates decline. 4) It's no coincidence that this sale comes on the precipice of flattening and/or declining rates. The IWM is set to rip if the stars align. Well done, RJ, you lying maggot. 5) So, backing out the cash, goodwill was around $1.1 Billion. Care to guess what this baby's valuation might have been later this year once profitability hit? 6) 30% fired = easier/cheaper transition. How convenient.

$MTTR Lesson learned for anyone investing in growth companies...don't just look at the tech or potential market cap. Also look deeply at the management team and governing board. They could be F'n idiots and crooks like Matterport who will fleece you and leave you broke with no remorse. Hopefully your average is below the 5.50 buyout. If not there is time to catch up but do it fast...

$MTTR so the market thinks that by the time deal will be sealed the price of $CSGP will be around $53. Which is possible if the market keeps tanking and the rates stay where they are or even are raised again. That’s a bummer because my avg is 5.1 but it is what it is.

$MTTR Well, instead of selling i got more now. At 4.66 its a no brainer. I also strongly believe that with all that extra time before finalizing the deal and a solid 5.50 safety net, this will eventually be over 5.50+ Many of you will sell at at 5.50 and then will be asking questions why its over 5.50. It might be next week or 2 months from now but it will happen. Just wait and see.... :)

$MTTR to help people out, look at it this way, you get 2.75 per share in cash that stays cash. The conversion rate is essentially getting another 2.75 per share in cash, then that money buys shares of new company. The amount of money buying costar shares will remain unchanged, but the purchase price of costar shares is where the collar comes into play. The value of 5.50 of your matterport shares is what it is. 100 shares at $1 is the same value as 1 share at $1.

$MTTR 5M shares traded in 2h ( so much more than our average daily volume) and all of that in 4-6 cent rage. Whoever is accumulating is a master !! They getting millions of shares without moving the price. I said it before and I will say it again, Costar is also accumulating at these levels with their back channels. Why pay 5.50 if you can get it for 4.6 and save tens or even hundreds of millions. Rich people will always find a way to win !!

$MTTR It feels to me that when the market is green and small/medium caps are flying this will be out of favor. But if we get a repeat of the bloodbath from the last several weeks this would feel like a no brainer to park some cash. Easiest return ever to ride out volatility. $5.50 locked and loaded. Just a matter of when this closes and we get our payday
