About MP Materials Corp.

MP Materials Corp., together with its subsidiaries, produces rare earth materials. The company owns and operates the Mountain Pass Rare Earth mine and processing facility in North America. It holds the mineral rights to the Mountain Pass mine and surrounding areas, as well as intellectual property rights related to the processing and development of rare earth minerals. The company was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.

$MP let’s talk this through: 1. Let’s say for conversation purposes that Trump puts a 100% tariff on Chinese magnets. By logic MP could essentially raise the price of magnets by 99%. 2. Let’s assume China keeps the price of NdPr low so there can be no other competition in the market. If China can’t sell into the US then they can’t effectively use this as a political weapon. Why would China keep the price of NdPr low. Doesn’t this make the case for magnet prices to be even higher? Does argument #1 and #2 act in synergy and get MP massive profits? Please comment
