The company qualifies as a real estate investment trust for federal income tax purposes. It generally would not be subject to federal corporate income taxes if it distributes at least 90% of its taxable income to its stockholders. AG Mortgage Investment Trust, Inc. was incorporated in 2011 and is based in New York, New York.

having another red day....yesterday edged green...not by much. but today is my big preferreds down slightly. i will not be mad at them. i have next to nothing to add to anything right now. i wouldnt mind the big ones staying low till jan. $ecc pref D $mitt B $mfa B and $Nymt would like to open more positions in.

$MITT so the market associates Trump policies with higher prices (tariffs on international goods), hence sticky inflation, hence elevated (or even rising) interest rates, hence the price pressure on REITs. Any arguments specifically for REITs under Trump 2.0? With most of the market trading in overbought territory already, I see the reserved valuation of REITs as a main reason to add opportunistically. Most REITs never really recovered after COVID and still trade around 60% of book value. Can Trump really drive them down to 50% of book value? Wouldn't that create incredible long-term value opportunities?

$MITT I think today’s drop may be overreaction to EAD of 17 not covering the 19 distribution. All a numbers game. Reported Financials look good to me and company execs seemed positive on future outlook. I took today as a nice buying opportunity to DRIP the recent divi payment. I will likely buy some more if there is a prolonged dip.

Another fucking day of disconnect between reits and overall market. Getting so frustrated. I could have been a fucking millionaire by now if I never got into reits and preferreds. while i receive a few $500+ divis a month... its always cool hitting a new single divi payment... $nymt pref Z tomorrow will pay me $1050, besting my $1000 $mitt pref B last month. im starting to stock up decent cash position and not really sure where i wanna go...commons are beat across real estate market but 10 yr note just ugly movements. i have a couple hundred shares of $gut coming with the rights offering. that closes next monday..in which ill add here and there

just saying..Reit/clo/bdc prefs across the board are trading under 8.5% except $mitt - b at 22.25 9.09% yield $ecc -D at 19.50 8.67% - 50 more of this and im at full position. $chmi - b at 8.65% but much closer to par at 23.71 like 7% under market value are former 2. while last month and a half have been insane for prefs...im sad that many pref opportunities for strong yields AND a good 20% capital gain.
