$CVNA what Carvana does, it'd be easy to replicate for the likes of $KMX if the numbers would REALLY add up, or if the risk with subprime loans would make it worth. Amazon could set up this business model in the blink of an eye. The thing is, those others: 1- know Carvana's numbers are "inflated" (cooked) and they are not willing to do the same 2- are not willing to risk everything giving loans left and right to anyone that comes with a photo id (reminiscence of 2008) 3- won't set up a third company like Drivetime to have a massive conflict of interest and roundtrip to infinity Vending machines? That's just marketing, and a huge cost/risk for Carvana. You cannot sell those "buildings" to anyone if everything collapses. It's basically a multistory car park where in the end a truck has to pick up the car and deliver it to your house, which can be done from a simple plain parking lot. It's not like the vending machine delivers the car straight to your garage.

@Trader_Ty stops on a company like this are a great way to never make money !!! If u can't handle a little volatility in $KMX a high quality company at a great valuation, u shouldn't be in the f* market

$KMX for those messing around with $CVNA , one of the most ridiculously valued companies on the market (I'm not currently short) , I suggest carmax, I own a small position in my Ira to balance out the more aggressive plays. This one should do well as economy improves under trump and rates come down. And it's cheap as hell compared to cvna. Position below $CPRT is also a f* great one in the space , high quality well run company that just had a great quarter. Don't own it as it's expensive but it's at the top of my list to buy in the next correction $PII is also interesting and I own small, it too should benefit from lower rates and a better economy One last note for cvna fanboys- some of the financials they reported are to good to be true in my opinion, I don't believe them, don't be surprised by a short report , one is coming for sure . For everyone , before u trade in or sell ur car, get a quote from carmax , way better then dealer & carvana , I've used it personally,πŸ–• dealers

$CVNA can someone tells me what justifies this price? $KMX does way more volume and trades nothing like this.

$CVNA Between insiders selling off 30%+ of their shares over the last six months, and institutional ownership over 85% with a mere short float of 11% -- this is clearly being propped up to drive as much call-buying as possible as all monthly opex starting with Jan 17 already have puts outweighing calls... I wouldn't be surprised if the next couple weeks this stock price plays within the 220-245 range while coaling towards 12/20 opex potential max pain of 230 Jan 17 opex has so much OI with over 3Bn$ in premiums already on the line, that I also wouldn't be surprised if we see a mean reversion back to the 200 day SMA of apx 195 by then BUT due to the short float % being so low, should a black swan event present itself that consumes the news cycle, shorting will come out in full force and a drop to 175 (or lower) wouldn't even be unreasonable... A 30% haircut like that would only drop the forward 12mo P/E to ~60 (which would still be 2x that of $KMX & $CARS) $AN $SPY

$CVNA ZERO competition? In 2 Years time: Car Gurus has grown 25%, $CARS has stayed the same, $KMX has stayed the same, $AN has grown 100%, and Carvana has grown 10% Also since you've demonstrated that you know how to take screenshots of posts; share a screenshot of your CVNA holdings in your brokerage account. :)

$CVNA meanwhile Insider Ownership dropped over -30% in the last six months, for a total of over 1.5Bn$ in sales... ...which by the way *checks notes* is 150% of what their fair book value per share is currently listed at... or 2.5 years of future net income before taxes... Amazing. $KMX $CARS $AN $SPY

$KMX (195min) / (daily) Nice example trade here. MAs bunched up below price on both timeframes as it has held the breakaway gap.

User Image PatTheCatdad Posted - 1 week ago

$CVNA the permabulls married to the CVNA stock (more than the insiders are) hate it when I share updated insider trading volume... That's a total of ~190M$ in selling in the last 9 trading days since most recent earnings -- which *checks notes* had 147M$ in dilluted net income to shareholders... The more you know... $KMX $CARS $AN $SPY

$CVNA appears that over 3M$ in ITM 11/15 calls were rolled into 1M$ of ITM 11/15 puts, with a potential net realized gain of 2M$ ...or it could be nothing :) $KMX $DRVN $CARS $AN

$CVNA o but the only margin that matters is still way lower than $KMX Fake gross margin and they aren't even lying about the net margin. Net margin effects the bank account gross margin literally is just paper profits and made up numbers if you spend it all on the way to net

$CVNA New daily MACD all-time-highs, with the current setup continuing to play out exactly like Aug 2020 as I called out last week. Irrational Euphoric Everything Rally. Check. 270 by end of November. Almost check. 25% correction by Dec 20, with an additional 25% haircut by Jan 17. Oh, you know it. $KMX $AN $SPY

$CVNA Morgan Stanley. Sold 39% of their shares 6+ months ago. Then another 51% in recent Nov 6 filing (one day after their Upgrade from 110 -> 260) -- They now own less shares than they reported in Feb 2022 $KMX $AN $SPY

$CVNA Day 8 of "organic price discovery", and DEFINITELY NOT a scheme to get insiders out at the top, meanwhile the same bank that's sold 50% (on top of the 50% already sold 6 months ago) have had their analysts raising their price target... $KMX $AN $SPY

$CVNA Day 7 of the price being artificially propped up... I wonder why that would be... *checks notes* -- *sees 140M$+ in insider selling during that time* $KMX $AN $SPY

$KMX This ticker did not treat me well last time but have been keeping my eye on it. Now a breakaway gap over resistance and the MAs. Interested in the close today (Zoom out to the weekly and it is working on a close over the EMAs there)

User Image PatTheCatdad Posted - 2 weeks ago

$CVNA whelp, if MMs goal was to drive up more call-buying in the short-term, they achieved that... As of this morning's updated OI, 11/15 flipped from puts outweighing calls, to calls now outweighing... Technically 11/08 max pain (if they choose to maximize premium gains) is 230 -- with 11/15 being 200 If there's a short-term correction to <190, then first two weeks of December will likely be used to drive more call-buying for 12/20 opex before further correction going into Jan 2025 $KMX $AN $SPY

User Image PatTheCatdad Posted - 2 weeks ago

$CVNA Oh wow! They bought 4,599 shares in Q3-24! That's only 6,153,846 shares less than insiders sold that same quarter! /s $KMX $AN $SPY

User Image PatTheCatdad Posted - 2 weeks ago

$CVNA Carvana insiders and banks seeing $TREE drop 20% overnight -- and now $AFRM -- while trying to sell as much as possible without impacting the price... Meanwhile retail seeing the bank analysts raising their targets and saying to themselves, "Number go BRRRRR!!!" ... Bet they can't wait to impress their friends/family over Thanksgiving dinner with how they're now a successful daytrader after being laid off... But I'm not a time-traveling cat, so what do I know... I'm sure whomever bought 2M$ worth of Feb 2025 240P knows more than me though... :) $KMX $SPY

$CVNA Every time there's been a gap-up on ER sending the price outside the 200 day bol band, it's faded about 20% over 30-45 days... This time around the price was already above the 200 day bol band and gapped up to 260 and has been pinned for six trading days... I fully expect a violent correction after Fed speech this afternoon, and rather than a 20% correction, 30%+ to sub 180 by first week of Dec Funny enough, retail's avg cost basis is currently 180 while insiders and banks have been selling in droves... So a correction to 180 could easily turn into a full-on crash to <25 in first half of 2025 $KMX $AN $SPY

User Image PatTheCatdad Posted - 2 weeks ago

$CVNA daily MACD literally being pinned in place for 6 trading days so insiders can continue to sell 140M$ of shares in that timespan -- and the same banks raising their targets can sell 50% of their shares... If you're part of the 50% of shareholders with an avg cost basis of 180+ as of this morning -- I'm praying for your soul... "organic price discovery" LOL $KMX $AN $SPY $SQQQ
