$HNRG Getting out of the coal business was really stupid. These guys got greedy. Bilsland's 3.4MM compensation for 2022 could be better spent elsewhere lol

$HNRG Sans one Merom transformer replaced during the scheduled MISO inspection period last month (I do believe they had a spare) could prove to be an expense well into seven figures, and mild temperatures in October, the plant was remarkably retrofitted, as are many in Zone 6. About Bit, a crypto currency exchange set up a new facility within earshot of Merom they're going to consume a lot of power. They're looking for more high end consumers. Neiman Marcus of utilities. I wish them lots of luck.

$HNRG Bilsland mentioned on the last conference call they had sold approximately 27% of their future power through 2025 at $34 per megawatt hour, roughly a $10 margin based upon their cost structure, and 3.3 million megawatt hours for the '26, '27, '28 years at $56 per megawatt hour, which is roughly $32 per megawatt hour profit based on today's cost. MISO Indiana HUB averages around $34.50 since October 1st through January. Merom is capable of producing almost 1,000 MW of energy and capacity at any given time, and eye-popping 7.5 million mega-watts annually on 3.5 million tons of coal. Generation in the MISO Zone 6 (Indiana and Northern Kentucky) is vulnerable and this is an opportunity for revenue growth for Hallador from acquistion with a number of similar generating stations retiring in MISO Zone 6, subject to the stringent regulatory scrutiny of Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.

$HNRG if gas power plant is available they will burn natural gas. In that region there is restriction and coal power plant mandatory now. They have hedged most of the generation and printing money with capacity payments. Capacity payments will be much higher because another coal plant will be closing soon. You cant generate reliable power with renewables only you need always base load power. I am in power business 26 years now. This company printing money from power generation even with these prices.
